From the outdoor hot tub deck you can see portions of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which will take you to MT Mitchell, (at 6,684' it's the highest and most visited peak on the east coast) in roughly a 1.5 hour trip…one of the most breath-taking and unforgettable drives on the eastern seaboard. PETS: 1. FOR NON-PET GUESTS concerned about possible past evidence of pets or hypoallergenic questions: Our cleaning crew is second to none and is one of the reasons we maintain a 5 star rating. We have meticulously high cleaning standards, so pet hair, dander, or pet odor, is not an option here. But, for those with pet allergies, this is not one of our hypoallergenic listings. 2. FOR PET GUESTS...we love our 4-legged friends! *Dogs only please: We’re a dogs only listing. There is a two dog, 70 lb/pet limit for the $130/pet fee. So a Lab or a Golden usually works unless over 70 lbs, but a large German Shepherd usually does not unless it’s under 70 lbs. *Pet Reservation: Please make sure that your pet is registered and let us know the breed and size (weight) of Fido before signing the rental agreement. *Pet Amenities (provided by the host): We provide a cushioned crate that is 48”l x 30”w x 33”h. Also, we provide food/water service bowls for a mid size dog. In the outdoor yard area there is a waste bin provided with hand bags for waste cleanup. Please bring whatever other amenities your pet may need for your pet’s comfort. *Pets Unattended: If Fido is crate trained (and does not bark while crated), it is fine to leave the pet crated and unattended. But at no time is the pet to be left unattended if it is not crated. So please don’t risk leaving the pet alone if he’s not used to it or trained not to bark. This is a townhome, so unfortunately, if a neighbor calls and complains that the pet next door is barking uninterrupted, ie has been left unattended, then the pet will have to be kenneled. We enforce this. Thank you for your consideration. *Practical Reasons for finding another listing: If Fido is an outdoor Houdini escape artist or a barker, this is not the best listing for your pet. *Post checkout Damages and Payments: Post check-out damage payments in the past have included: unregistered pets, damage to duvets, furniture, and linens. LOCATION: Most who come to this area seek regionally famous attractions: Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt Mitchell State Park, and the Smokies….all within striking distance. Yet, most who stay with us, instead, fall in love with our small, magical, sometimes quirky, town...Black Mountain. With its growing reputation as a small town resort, Black Mountain has become the most visited Asheville satellite (per capita) in the region, and an outdoor mecca. With Montreat village only 5 minutes from the house, offering quick access to Pisgah National Forest trails, our once secluded small town has become one of the most sought after destinations in Western North Carolina. WHAT TO EXPECT: I provide coffee and assorted teas along with creamer and sugar....For the kitchen-cooking oils and spices, a slow cooker and everything you need for full meal service and prep. In regards to the house, there is Smart cable TV with Netflix and Prime. There is no smoking or vaping inside, but instead please enjoy your smokes on the private deck. For little ones, there is a high chair, and a Pack n’ Play. For families-cornhole, board games, and books. For those working, a printer and quick WiFi. For everyone else a hot tub at 104 degrees. Guest access (Specs): DUAL ATTACHED TOWNHOMES Is this a dual townhome and is there shared space, such as a shared hot tub/private deck? Yes and no. Yes, it is a duel townhome floorplan, but no, there is no shared space or overlap between the two units. Please see reviews for guest experiences of the space. Privacy was one of the highest values behind the design. The Intown Spa Getaway and the Luxe Couples Escape & Spa function like two connected single family homes with separate and private entrances, separate and private parking, separate and private decks with hot tubs, but the two units are connected by a soundproof center wall. So the units are attached, but there is no shared space or overlap. OUTDOOR SPACE The Intown Spa Getaway's outdoor living space includes a picnic and firepit area, which is not shared space, and is contained within the boundaries of the Intown Cottage backyard fence. There is a wall and a fence that separates the two units physically, as well as, visually, so there is no overlap. In other words, you can't see into the other unit's backyard or deck space. Other things to note And why it's different..... The Intown Spa Getaway is a 2 BR(3 bed), 2.5 bath, fully private, townhome (no shared space), with a full kitchen & laundry, and spa amenities. It was designed with European minimalist and Farmhouse American accents. The owner/host, who lives in Black Mountain, is a native of North Carolina and built the complex specifically for welcoming vacationing travelers to this area, a place that he loves to call home.
