Description
This is a unique stone house that was owed by a famed civil war bushwhacker. While the house was recently restored it still beams with old time charm. The home sleeps 12 people comfortably and has two full kitchens and two full baths. It is nestled in the middle of a 300 acre working cattle farm just minutes from restaurants, wineries, and activities. Built in 1832, the house was the childhood home of Sam Hildebrand, who was an infamous civil war guerrilla fighter. Come walk the same fields and sleep in the same place as one of Southeast Missouri’s biggest outlaws.
