This private 544 sq ft nautical-themed bungalow features one large room with an open sleeping loft (2nd bedroom) overlooking the main floor. Downstairs is furnished with two rockers, sofa, queen-size Murphy bed, TV, dining table. There is a full bed & twin bed in the loft. Ideal for 4 guests, but accommodates 5. The kitchenette has basics but is not equipped for cooking meals (microwave, Keurig, small fridge). Off-street parking & room for a boat trailer with prior permission. There is plenty of outdoor seating and lovely gardens to enjoy. The location is ideal -- Just off Front Street and Taylors Creek. And a pleasant waterfront walk/bike ride will take you to downtown and its many shops and restaurants. Meander along the boardwalk and see all of the boats from near and far, and enjoy local flavors at many waterfront restaurants. If you have bikes, kayaks, or your own boat, bring them....Beaufort is a bike, kayak, and boating-friendly town with convenient bike racks and public water access. If you'd rather, you can rent bikes, kayaks, and even golf carts nearby. There are also public tennis courts, an outdoor community basketball court and Splash Pad for the kids within easy walking distance. There is ample off-street parking for your car and boat (but please contact the owner in advance if bringing a boat) There's a lot to do in Beaufort. - Take a ferry over to Shackleford Banks or Cape Lookout lighthouse to enjoy the beach and waves. - Rent kayaks or take a kayak tour. - There are many tours--something for everyone-- a foodie, a ghost tour, a historic graveyard tour (fascinating). - Guided bike tours. - Visit the NC Maritime Museum downtown. - Drive to the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center on Harkers Island. - During the summer months, there is live music downtown. - Atlantic Beach, Fort Macon State Park and the NC Aquarium are a short drive. - Deep-Sea Charter Fishing is available nearby. Beaufort Bungalow is a stand-alone home nestled in a lovely setting with ample off-street parking. In all but winter, there is a fish cleaning station right next to the Bungalow where you can clean your catch-of-the-day or wash off your shells. In the summer, there are hanging swings and seating for enjoying the lovely garden spaces. If we are in town, we love to meet and interact with guests. However, if you're seeking privacy and solitude, we will be available if you have questions. We live in a pleasant neighborhood in "The Coolest Small Town In America" and request that everyone be respectful of the neighbors and the neighborhood. If you're going to party, try to keep the noise down. Historic Beaufort is a very walkable and bike friendly town. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm Self-check-in with a keypad combination lock. You will receive a door code for your stay when reservations are confirmed. Check out by 10 am, please. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS. We provide bath linens, bath towels, etc., but not beach towels! No loud parties, please For your convenience, the bungalow is fully furnished with linens and towels, a blow dryer, and paper products. The kitchenette has a small microwave oven, a small refrigerator, and a Keurig coffee maker. There is a toaster oven stored under the counter if you should need it. However, the bungalow is not equipped or furnished for cooking full meals. There are many fine and varied restaurants close by open for takeout or delivery There is excellent Wifi. Netflix and Amazon Prime are provided on the TV, along with a DVD player and local DVD videos. There are no local channels. Please leave your pets at home. We will not consider exceptions, but there is so much to do in Beaufort that isn't pet-friendly, you'll enjoy your time here without the restrictions of your dog/cat. There are numerous kennels in the area. Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the property. There is adequate off-street parking for two cars (front to back) or one car and one boat. Please do not park in the grass or in front of the property. There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included. And please leave the sand on the beach for others to enjoy. An outdoor shower is available behind the main house which should be used to spray off the salt and sand when returning from the beach. Trust me, you do not want to get sand on the floor where you're living. Please respect our home and property. We want to provide everyone with a beautiful place to stay. We love the Bungalow and hope you do too and will come back again and again. We are open to flexible check-in/check-out times if there are no other guests arriving/leaving on the same days and it won't affect the house cleaning schedule. Feel free to ask! The loft sleeping area is accessed by a ladder and opens to the living space below. This ladder is not well suited for small children and any minors without adult supervision.
