Description
This large sunny apartment has unobstructed SW views of the water from every room, including views of the statue of liberty. The sunny pedestrian esplanade, parks, bike paths, dog runs, and playgrounds are just outside; at the same time, the apartment is a short walk to waterfront restaurants, stores, and the rest of downtown, including Tribeca and the Financial District. The 1/2/3/4/5/R/W/E/J/Z subway lines, buses, and a free shuttle are all also within easy walking distance. The space The apartment is 1200 sq ft and recently renovated, and has a very large open kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two offices which are separate rooms encased in glass with sliding glass doors (4 beds total: 2 beds, 2 sleeper sofas). The apartment has a lot of storage space: five closets/built-in wardrobes in all, as well as a wall of pantry cabinets next to the kitchen. The sofa in the living room also has a queen-sized tempurpedic bed inside, and there is a second sofabed in one of the offices. Every window in the apartment has an unobstructed water view facing either south or west, and the living area is a corner view facing both directions, with views of the statue of liberty. The apartment is fully furnished, including kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, linens, etc. The master bedroom has a king-sized tempurpedic bed, and the second bedroom has a queen-sized tempurpedic mattress. The kitchen has a number of high-end appliances including a Miele dishwasher, a Liebherr refrigerator, a Perlick freezer, a Bertazzoni gas range, two large sinks, quartz countertops, and a Breville espresso maker. There is also a filtered water tap with an "instant hot" option. The master bath has both rain and handheld showerheads that can be run simultaneously. Guest access The building has a fitness center, a lounge and rooftop on the top floor, and a children's playroom, all of which can be accessed for free. There is also a pool in the fitness center that can be used for a fee (paid to the building directly). There is a parking garage underneath the building, also for a fee. The building itself has two entrances, one to the north onto Rector St and one to the south on W Thames St, and has a 24 hour doorman, as well as a full maintenance staff. There is also a valet service on the first floor that can provide cleaning, laundry, dry cleaning, tailoring, and other services. Other things to note We rent this apartment legally with the approval of the building management. Because of this, renting this apartment does require completion of an application package, as well as payment of an application and credit check fees that go directly to the building management (not to us). We have never had a tenant refused permission, but officially we must go through this process in order for the rental to be legal. Therefore, any approved rental is not completely finalized until we receive final approval from the building (which usually only takes a few working days if they receive all required materials in a single package).
