Description

Legally registered eco-friendly guest suite with private entrance. Welcome to our newly renovated, solar powered, light-filled, top-floor space in Bed-Stuy. Chef's eat-in kitchen, full bath with tub, original artwork, and washer and dryer. Elegantly furnished with high-end comforts and natural linens. Just a 3 minute walk to the subway and ~30 minutes to downtown Manhattan. A tranquil retreat on a tree-lined street. Host respects privacy throughout guest stays. The space Our sunlit top floor guest suite accommodates 2 guests comfortably. The space is elegant and modern, and furnished with high-end comforts and all natural linens (no synthetics here). Enjoy a full bath with tub, fully equipped marble-top kitchen, high-speed WiFi, Smart TV (with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Hulu), hardwood floors, and original artwork. There's also a washer and dryer, free to use (a rare find in NYC!) The kitchen/living area is warm and cozy, with a dining table, skylight for natural light, and floor-to-ceiling shelving with all the essentials you may need. Our fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal for preparing a gourmet meal or whipping up something quick after a long day of exploring. We also provide a coffee and tea station with a drip coffee maker, French press, and locally roasted Brooklyn coffee. Enjoy! Our apartment is solar powered, which we are super excited about. From our linens and towels, to our amenities and cleaning supplies, we aim to be as eco-friendly (and toxin-free) as possible. Savor a full day of adventures in the city and come back to a quiet, relaxing retreat on a peaceful tree lined street in Brooklyn. AMENITIES: - Smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV - Highspeed WiFi - Fully equipped kitchen - Complimentary Brooklyn roasted coffee/tea - Heat and AC (Nest Thermostat) - 400 thread count 100% organic cotton sheets - Oeko-Tex Certified plush cotton towels - Natural, non-toxic hand soaps & toiletries - Iron, ironing board, hairdryer - Full size washer & dryer - 3 min walk to C train, Rockaway Ave stop - 15 min walk to L train - 15 min walk to J and Z trains - 15 min trip to downtown Brooklyn - 30 min trip to Manhattan - Free street parking (alternate side parking rules apply) - 1 subway stop away from one of the largest transportation hubs in Brooklyn, connecting to 5 subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road - Centrally located between JFK and Manhattan (catch the AirTran + subway to get straight to our place) Where you'll be: Far enough from the city hubbub to get a relaxing night's sleep and wake to birds chirping, but close enough to catch a direct train into Manhattan in less than 30 minutes. The best happy medium we've been able to find in NYC! This area is still very much residential. There are a few cafes, restaurants, and galleries within walking distance, and more and more are starting to pop up. Some of the most delicious and up and coming restaurants in Brooklyn are only a few train stops away (we love Saraghina, L'Antagoniste, and Peaches). Conveniently there is lots of free street parking, and it's usually easy to find a spot in front of our house (just be mindful of alternate side parking rules). Via AirBnB: "If you are looking for a melting pot NYC experience in a up and coming, bohemian style neighborhood, this is your place! A safe and racially diverse neighborhood is comprised mainly of families, younger professionals, and artists" Getting around: The Rockaway Ave subway stop on the C train is just 3 blocks from our home. It is about a 25 min ride to lower Manhattan and 45 min ride to Times Square. *Please note, the closest subway entrance to us is at Thomas S Boyland St, NOT at Rockaway Av. Walk towards the Thomas S Boyland St exit and then you'll be just 3 blocks from us 😀 The A/C subway line runs through some of the most iconic NYC destinations, including DUMBO, Wall Street, Chinatown, Soho, Greenwich Village, West Village, High Line, Little Island, Broadway, Times Square, and Central Park. Great for tourists or anyone needing to get to city hubs efficiently with minimal transfers. The L train is a 15 min walk from our home and takes you through Bushwick and Williamsburg (Brooklyn), and then into East Village, Union Square and Meatpacking District ( Manhattan). The J and Z trains are also a 15 min walk away and run through Bushwick and into the Lower East Side and Financial District of Manhattan. We're 1 subway stop away from one of the largest transportation hubs in Brooklyn, connecting to 5 subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road. *All that to say — you can easily get to most anywhere in NYC from our home via subway 🙌🏼 We're also centrally located in between JFK and Manhattan. A 20-30 min cab ride from/to JFK or about 1 hour by public transportation. Guest access As your host, I’ll be on the premises but you will have privacy. You wouldn’t even know I’m there. Other things to note We love NYC and sharing our home with guests. Please note, we typically do not accept guests with 0 reviews on Airbnb. Free street parking available.
