The Ocean House is a historic Danish carriage house recently renovated as a stand alone one-bedroom (1000+ sq. ft) private house. The house is 100% solar powered and adjacent to a secluded beach. New kitchen appliances, cookware, outdoor shower, spacious deck, laundry facilities, and beautiful views from the living room and bedroom. Great for entertaining guests or for a peaceful getaway. The space The Ocean House is part of a 200 year old Danish estate that is in the US National Register of Historic Places. The house is only 10 minutes from Frederiksted and 20 minutes from the airport. We are transforming the property to invite guests to enjoy 10 acres of Caribbean seaside. Baobab trees and rum factory ruins line the driveway and coral pieces are part of the stone walls throughout the property. We are planting a food forest of fruit trees, coconut palms, pineapples, flowers and ground crops. Guest access Feel free to pick any fruit that is ripe on the property. You will have access to the beach (Butler Bay), a two person kayak, outdoor shower and historic ruins around the property.
