The Den is a unique space within the Lake District - a Scandinavian BBQ cabin. A large BBQ pit in the centre to sit around provides a cosy relaxing evening space, and a place to cook! WiFi, Fridge, Microwave, Kettle & Coffee Machine. Bedding provided. Recently upgraded bathroom facilities! Private shower, toilet and sink, exterior but right next to The Den. 8 minutes by car to Windermere, 5 minutes to Kendal. Easy access to a bus stop and cycle lane. Adults only. Sorry but no pets. The space Set in 2/3rds of an acre of beautiful gardens with private countryside views. Off street private and secure parking is provided. UPGRADED BATHROOM FACILITIES! Your own PRIVATE bathroom and shower. Sink with hot & cold drinking water, and a toilet. The bathroom facilities are exterior to The Den but are right next to it. Guest access On-site private parking. The Den is located right at the bottom of our garden, semi-hidden in the trees. It is quite private and not overlooked by neighbours at all, but for clarity, please do note that it is located within our family garden although we don’t tend to use the garden when guests are staying. Other things to note Want to come cycling in the Lakes? We are right on the cycle lane into the Lakes. Bring your bikes, stay the first night here then leave your car at the property whilst you go on your cycling trip. Completely private and safe parking. Secure garage for your bikes. We will provide a first bag of charcoal and firelighters for the BBQ. If you want more then either bring your own or you can purchase extra bags from us at £3 per bag. We do have a Geodome in the garden that’s also AirBnB accommodation, but it’s on the other side of the garden about 15 metres away facing completely away from The Den, and we’ve never had any issues with guests disturbing each other. To keep costs down for guests we don't charge a cleaning fee. Most guests prefer the option of self tidy before leaving. If you’d rather relax, we can take care of it for £15.
