Cabin in Big Bear Lake

Modern and cozy modified A-Frame cabin with a loft, close to all the action that Big Bear has to offer! Come and unwind in the mountains and wake up surrounded by natural beauty as you enjoy your coffee from the deck. Cabin features a modern kitchen and bathroom, a wonderful wood stove for those quiet, snowy nights, and all the amenities to keep you comfortable during your stay. We are 10 minutes away from Snow Summit and 15 minutes away from the Village. WFH ready as well! Welcome to Big Bear! The space Guests will have full access to the house with a well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, 2 bedrooms (one is traditional bedroom with a door, the other is the loft and has no door), both are located upstairs, patio and backyard. There are two desks and hi-speed internet, perfect for working remotely. There is a smart TV for steaming movies and location is 8 mins away from the Village. Things to know: Free WiFi Full kitchen Cabin has stairs A 4x4 is required in the winter; snow chains are required on all vehicles during the snowy season. Please check weather forecast ahead of time and be prepared for winter conditions. If there is over 4 inches of snow, we have a snow removal service that will come and plow the driveway. Guests staying during snowfall should be prepared to shovel snow if needed if snowfall is under 4 inches. This is a 1970s modified A Frame which, because of the roof also acting as the walls, the cabin isn’t insulated well. Summer/Fall: Cabin can get warm. We have a window AC unit in both bedrooms and fans. Winter/Spring: The bedroom can get chilly during cold nights so it’s recommended to pack warm socks and long pajamas. We have a wall heating unit, wood stove, and space heater for guests if needed, and lots of blankets to keep things cozy. Parking Notes: Please park in the driveway and a max of two cars can park in the driveway. No street parking is available. Please take note that despite our best efforts to regularly hire an exterminator, there can be an occasional spotting of ants or bugs in summer while we try to keep at bay, please remember, we are in the mountains. Guest access Guests have access to the whole cabin except the downstairs storage and backyard shed. Other things to note This is a modified AFrame. The roof are the walls. So the cabin can be drafty. We have plenty of heating to help but that means cold floors so socks are recommended in the winter! We have a wood stove that is available for our guests to use. As a courtesy, guests are allowed to any firewood that available at the cabin. If more if needed, please note that you will need to purchase your own firewood at the local Vons or DIY store (8 mins away). IMPORTANT - DO NOT USE quickfire logs such as duralog in the woodstove.
