It's a modern house built on a beautiful hillside offering stunning panoramic views of the lake. The entire front is all glass. It's very private, peaceful and romantic, truly a paradise! The mattress is a huge king sized orthopaedic that's SO comfortable! Fully-equipped modern kitchen. Solar hot water shower. Triple-filtered water purification system (no need for bottled water). Huge front deck with a hammock, lounge chairs and a sitting area. Sun lounge. Manicured property. Guard on duty. Everything you need and much more! The garden offers fresh avocados, bananas, dragonfruits, mangos, coffee and more, depending on the season :) The whole house is yours. No neighbors in sight! Total privacy. Our worker Bartolo will be on hand periodically for property maintenance. We are happy to help arrange ground/water transportation and offer some advice and suggestions. We have a self check-in option. Upon arrival you will find as well our printed guidebook with useful information about the house and the area. If you need us, we are always here for you. The Lakeview Lodge is situated in peaceful Pasajcap between the two Mayan villages of San Marcos la Laguna and Tzununa. Easy to get down to the water docks and travel to all the other nearby villages. We recommend taking the public boat from Tzununa or San Marcos, (15-25Q ferry from there :). It's a 15 minute walk down to San Marcos la Laguna, or less than 10 minutes down to Tzununa where you can catch the boat to San Pedro, Panajachel or anywhere else around the lake! Also there are many tuktuks available on the road or can be booked via WhatsApp beforehand. Not suitable for guests unable to climb several dozen stairs (we are 1600m above sea-level!). Our guardian may be able to assist with luggage. Please make note that our Wi-Fi is rather slow. It is not possible to get better internet connection in this rural area of Guatemala. The lodge is not suited for remote workers or people who depend on fast Wi-Fi for work. (We do recommend to buy a local SIM card beforehand and use it as a hot spot.) Our vacation home is best suited for guests who want to disconnect in nature, enjoy privacy and explore the magic of the lake. No parking on site. Driving is not recommended.
