Serenity, nature and lush landscapes meet luxury here at Lakeview Lodge, nestled between the two Mayan villages of San Marcos La Laguna and Tzununa. It is perfectly suited for those who long for tranquility and privacy. It is just a 15 minute walk downhill (or a 5 minute tuktuk ride) to the popular hipster/holistic village of San Marcos La Laguna. From our road entrance up to the house there are 150 steps to hike, well worth it for the incredible view! The space The villa is perched upon a hill, surrounded by nature, overlooking the three dormant volcanoes of the most beautiful lake in the world, Lake Atitlan. The glass exterior and the spacious terrace allow the most amazing 180 degree views of the entire lake. At night you can even see Volcano Fuego erupting! The mattress is a huge king sized orthopaedic that's SO comfortable! Fully-equipped modern kitchen. Solar hot water shower. Triple-filtered water purification system (no need for bottled water). Spacious front deck with a hammock, lounge chair and a sitting area. Sun lounge. Manicured property. Guard on duty. Everything you need and much more! The garden is huge and offers fresh avocados, bananas, dragonfruits, mangos, coffee and more, depending on the season :) Guest access The whole house is yours. No neighbors in sight! Total privacy. Our worker Bartolo will be on hand periodically for property maintenance. Other things to note Not suitable for guests unable to climb several dozen stairs (we are 1600m above sea-level!). Our guardian may be able to assist with luggage. Our vacation home is best suited for guests who want to disconnect in nature, enjoy privacy and explore the magic of the lake. Please make note that our Wi-Fi is rather slow. The lodge is not suited for remote workers or people who depend on fast Wi-Fi. We do recommend to get an eSim or buy a local SIM card before arrival. Both options work great up here. We don't provide a garage. If coming by car, the vehicle can be parked downstairs, on the site of the road. It is safe.
