The Cottage - 2 miles to I-65

The Cottage is on the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful 32 acre property of pastures with a flock of Kathdin sheep and other animals. The Cottage has an open floor plan with a full kitchen and laundry room. From the time you arrive until the time you leave, you'll be inspired and wishing your stay had been longer. The spaces are filled with lots of antiques, beautiful art (for sale) and lots of unique items. The space We’d like to welcome you to “Green Pastures”. This has been our “dream property” for the last 20 years as we’ve passed by it almost every day. We became friends with the previous owners many years ago and amazingly now it’s ours! We’re looking forward to sharing it with you! I know that you’ll enjoy your stay here!! This is one of the most beautiful places around! The views are breathtaking. The spaces are awesome. The décor is unique. There’s a lot to enjoy around the property and you’re welcome to roam around. There's a wonderful porch, a gorgeous live edge pool, lush vegetation, several great places to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors. There is a fire pit and it’s easy to grab some sticks and get a fire started on a cool evening. Star gazing is amazing as is looking at a gorgeous moon. It’s not uncommon to see deer and turkeys roaming the pasture, owls and hawks fly by and squirrels chasing each other around. All types of birds make regular visits to the feeders around the property. History We’ve lived in the Montevallo area for the last 25 years. A few years ago, we began renting out some extra spaces (The Barn, The Apartment and The Art Gallery) that we have. These spaces have become incredibly popular and we’ve had so much fun with this that we’ve been searching for another property with a little more acreage. These properties are less than a mile from each other so if you are in the area with a larger group you could consider these spaces as well. My wife, Lynita, is an artist and each of the properties contain many of her paintings / drawings as well as her other creative touches. While primarily a portrait artist many of her other paintings are available for purchase. If you’d like to see some more of her work, let us know and we’ll be glad to give you a tour. From time to time she hosts art workshops at these properties so if you have an interest in attending one of these please let us know. Guest access Guests have access to the entire guest house, are able to utilize the pool and enjoy other unique spaces around the property.
