My secluded cottage lies in the countryside of Normandy on a completely private terrain of, 8000m2 with an own driveway. The remote house sits alone in the hills with no neighbors and has a garden with cherry, apple and walnut trees. Explore the lush green grasslands and charming French hamlets right from the driveway. The house is within easy reach of the Normandy beaches, national parks, castles and medieval cities. A basic retreat for lovers of nature and peace. The space The cottage is secluded, and you will have it all to yourself—no owner or neighbors to disturb you. As this 18th-century house is set directly in the green fields and rolling hills of the French landscape, you can relax undisturbed in and around the cottage. In the large, romantic garden, you may encounter deer, hares, owls, and wild boars. After a day of exploring French nature and culture, retreat to the cottage to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet by the wood stove or on the covered terrace, taking in the beautiful views of the vast private garden and the valley. Visit the world-famous Mont Saint-Michel, the monastery and medieval town on an island. Explore Avranches with its castle, cathedral, and relics, the sandy beaches of Jullouville and Granville, the Château de Caen, the Omaha D-Day beaches and museums, the Normandy-Maine Natural Park, the Bayeux Tapestry, and the medieval towns of Domfront, Saint-Malo, Fougères, and Falaise. In the surrounding villages, you'll find local markets with regional delicacies, antique fairs, and cozy French restaurants that serve the Normandy cuisine. The cottage itself is simple yet charming and fully equipped. It features a living room with a furnished kitchen, a large bedroom on the first floor, a second small bedroom on the ground floor, a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet, and a spacious covered terrace. There is electricity and hot (drinking) water, Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning in the rooms via a heat pump, a wood stove, a washing machine, a gas stove with an oven, and a fridge with a freezer. Bed linen and towels are not provided, but there are blankets and pillows, and gas, wood, water, and electricity are included in the price. Guest access You will have full access to the entire house and the surrounding terrain. You can drive your car up the driveway and park in front of the house.
