Piccabean Cottage - Palmwoods Eco Escape

This fully self-contained Cottage is nestled on the edge of the rainforest with 15 acres in which to wander and relax. It is just 3 km to the heart of Palmwoods where there are shops, a hotel and eateries to explore. Centrally located on the Sunshine Coast and just 15-20 mins to the ranges, beach, zoo and theme parks, yet set in a secluded bush hideaway shared with local fauna. Unwind... The space Piccabean Cottage is the larger of our two cottages and accommodates up to 4 guests. There is a queen bed and a sofa bed (best suited to one adult or two children). The kitchen/dining area features a breeze through, giving the impressions of being outdoors, with the security of insect screens, and cafe style blinds in winter. The bathroom or “Loo with a view” is in a separate building a few steps away, elevated and also screened so that you can watch the birds and wildlife from your vantage point. Please note we have composting toilets. Piccabean Cottage has an eco friendly design, constructed with the sun, wind, rain and the seasons in mind which minimises the need for power, heating, and cooling. Many sustainable and reclaimed materials have also been incorporated in the construction. Full kitchen facilities allow you to self-cater for all meals. Coffee and tea are provided. There is a common area in which you can enjoy the fireplace, barbecue or perhaps cook your own pizzas in the wood fired pizza oven (additional $25 for bag of firewood). There are many native animals that call Palmwoods Eco Escape home. We also have happy chickens and ducks. We have a second Cottage on the property - Turmeric Cottage (also on AirBnB) - for those who might be travelling with friends or family. Guest access You are able to explore most of the 15 acre property to enjoy the natural bush setting. Other things to note Please note there are dams on the property so we urge guests with small children to be vigilant. Being so close to nature there is wildlife that you may come into contact with.
