The Forge Cottage is a beautifully restored 17th-century barn, once used for storing grain when the Watermill was in full operation. This charming and authentic retreat features thick cob-filled walls, exposed beams throughout, and a striking stable doorway. Enjoy year-round comfort with underfloor heating throughout, while the wood burner adds a cozy touch during winter. Outside, the stone-walled garden creates the perfect setting for a barbecue. The space Ta Mill is a secluded rural retreat set within 45 acres of peaceful countryside on the fringes of Bodmin Moor. We offer high-quality self-catering accommodation across a selection of 8 charming cottages and 7 stylish lodges. For an added touch of luxury, guests can privately hire our Hot Tub, Swim Spa, or Wood-Fired Sauna, the perfect way to relax and unwind in style. Guest access There is ample parking and I will meet you on your arrival date to show you to your cottage. Other things to note Book a private session in our Hot Tub or Swim Spa for the ultimate relaxation. Sessions are available for an additional charge of £36 for hot tub per session or £48 for swim spa (each session lasts an hour). The hot tub is set in the old waterwheel pit, just a short walk, less than a minute from the cottage, providing a perfect spot to sit back, unwind, and stargaze. For an extra indulgence, you can also privately hire the woodfird sauna located just outside the cottage for £15 per person per session (minimum £30 per session, 4 and more people pay £60). While there may be other guests staying on-site, you’ll have your own private walled garden and patio, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed stay. We welcome dogs in this cottage free of charge, but kindly bring a dog basket with you. To keep the space comfortable for all, please ensure your pet does not rest on the bedding or soft furnishings. Dogs must be under control when exercised, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them. Pets must not be left unattended in the accommodation at any time. Only house-trained pets are accepted.
