The main house boasts a large living area downstairs, complete with flatscreen TV, DVD player, gas fireplace, game table, 2 bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a queen, the second bedroom has another queen size bed along with a twin bunk bed. There's also a common bathroom with a shower stall in the hall, stone and wood floors throughout, and a large back deck overlooking McKinney Creek. Upstairs is the kitchen, complete with everything you'll need to cook your favorite meal, formal dining room, sitting area, balcony, the main bedroom which has a queen size bed and its own balcony, along another full bathroom with shower stall in the common area. The last balcony is just off the kitchen with a gas BBQ. The main house is equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, WIFI internet, games and plenty of sitting areas. Above the garage is a separate apartment that features a good size living space, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, electric range, microwave, table for games, small dining area, 2 more bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and there is 1 full bahtroom with shower stall in the common area. The dining room table can seat 4 people comfortably and there's also a television with cable, DVD & VCR players, gas woodstove, dishwasher and a deck with a table and chairs (weather permitting). There is level access to get to this home and room to park 1 car in the garage, and 3 more cars in the driveway. We can allow one well behaved dog, we just ask that you mention this when requesting to reserve the home, so we can approve your dog BEFORE we accept your reservation. There is a $100 dog fee once approved. Due to the unique construction of this log cabin, the upstairs bedroom walls do not reach the ceiling, the walls are of regular height, but they are open to the ceiling. This means sound could travel from the living areas into the bedrooms very easily. This magnificent, classic log home is a short distance to world class skiing at Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort, and Northstar at Tahoe! This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation! Cleaning fee includes linens and towels. You may want to bring beach towels, as those are not provided. Nightly rent plus tax, cleaning fee, reservation fee and vacation rental damage protection plan, required on all rentals. PARKING RESTRICTIONS: November 1st to May 1st, there is NO street parking. You must park in driveway areas only. There is parking for 3 cars at this house during winter months. Chambers public sandy beach area is only 1 mile away and hiking and biking trails are right out the front door for summer adventures. You are also a close drive to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood ski resorts if you are looking for some winter fun. The property is also nearby the famous PDQ market and Obexer's Boat Company and Market for any last minute items you may have forgotten. West Shore Café and Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge are just down the road as well if you are looking for a nice relaxing night of NO cooking! Car is best up here, but there is a bus system as well.
