Other things to note Frequently Asked Questions We are so excited for your upcoming stay in Tahoe! Please review our frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your trip and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. How do I access my rental home? You will go directly to the home and utilize the lockbox or keyless entry, this code will be provided at 3pm on the day of your arrival - Please note check-in time is not until 4pm. This will be the only key for your stay, please utilize the lockbox system with your group and secure it back in the lockbox at departure. Can we have an early check in and/or late check out? During peak season and holiday dates we have a firm 4pm arrival time and 10am checkout time. We cannot guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, please contact us 24 hours in advance to see if this is available for your stay. Please note, we charge $100/hr for early or late requests outside of the 1 hour grace period. Does my rental home have air conditioning? Like most Tahoe homes, this home is not equipped with air conditioning. We recommend opening the windows during the cooler evening hours and utilizing the fans in the home to help keep you cool during the warmer months. What supplies will be stocked at my rental home? 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom 2 rolls of paper towels 5 trash bags 10 blue recycle bags Liquid hand soap at each sink Bar soap in every shower/tub 5 dishwasher pods (or equivalent) Small liquid dish soap 1 New Sponge Laundry detergent (starter amount) There may be cooking oil, spices, and condiments left from previous guests but these are not guaranteed therefore we recommend bringing these with you. Do I need to bring my own linens, towels, beach chairs, etc? Beds will be made with clean linens and ready for your arrival, there will be towels for each guest excluding beach towels. Extra amenities such as beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc vary by property, and are not guaranteed. What items should I bring? Shampoo, conditioner, additional toiletries Specific cooking oils, spices or condiments as these are not guaranteed Specific kitchen gadgets outside of the standard inventory Sunscreen Reusable Water Bottle Tahoe Tap Water is some of the best in the area! There is no need for bottled water. Most local stores by 2025 will not sell bottled water in hopes of protecting our environment Chargers Winter Gear: Hats, gloves, jackets, snow chains for your tires* Do you have any recommendations for grocery shopping, restaurants, hikes? Tahoe City has a Safeway, New Moon Natural Foods, and a few smaller market/deli options. Truckee has a Safeway, New Moon Natural Foods, Raleys One, and Grocery Outlet. Incline Village has a Raleys, Natural Grocers. We have a variety of restaurants, hikes, and fun things to do around Tahoe listed in our guest book binders which you’ll find upon arrival! Do you have Uber, Doordash, etc? The Tahoe area has very limited Uber and Lyft drivers and is not reliable. We also have a local, on-demand ride service called the TART Connect but this may also have delays, please preview their website for more information. Additional services such as Doordash or Instacart are not available in our area. How should I prepare for winter road conditions? Will my driveway be cleared? Please check the California Highway Conditions before driving to Tahoe! This is very important as road conditions can change rapidly. Vehicles should have 4WD or AWD, Winter rated tires and carry snow chains in case of emergency. Vehicles with 2-wheel drive are not recommended in mountainous, winter conditions. County and local snow removal companies work diligently during winter storms, be patient and drive slowly. Tahoe roads and driveways can be slanted, hilly, and steep. Parking Per county ordinance, street parking is not allowed under any circumstance. Each home has a designated number of parking spaces as determined by the county. This number cannot be exceeded. If you have more vehicles than are permitted on the property, please contact us and we can advise on additional parking. Follow recommendations from the California Highway Conditions and travel advisories. Travel insurance is highly recommended. Please let us know if you have any additional questions and we look forward to hosting you soon!
