Sleeps up to 10. Beautiful custom-built home sits on a high bank overlooking the Straits of Juan de Fuca (Puget Sound), fabulous Cascade Range mountain views, cruise ships and more. Our gardens, and pond attracts deer, racoon, birds, an even Sea otters. Bald Eagles nest close by and fly overhead. Enjoy walking on our mile long beach. The space Everything you need for vacationing is here. From a fully-equipped kitchen with granite counters. Stone wall and gas fireplace and high-vaulted ceilings in the living room and dining room, Our Four bedrooms can sleep up to 10 (includes use of an axillary queen size air bed in the large center, view, bedroom) . There is a huge deck overlooking Incredible 200 degree VIEWS. Two of the bedrooms, and the loft office have fabulous water and mountain views. From the deck and our solarium you will see sailboats, cruise ships, cargo carriers, Mt Baker, the whole Cascade Mt. Range, and much more. Always changing, always beautiful. We have frequent visitors to our back yard and pond--deer, Raccoons and a variety of birds drinking from our pond. Even Sea Otters come up the path from the beach occasionally. Blue Herons and Eagles fishing the shore waters below the deck. On the small islands a few hundred yards off of our deck you will be able to watch resident seals and sea lions basking in the sun. We have an eagle's nest nearby. They often land in the tree in front of the deck, or "fly fish" over the beach right in front of us. We love our birds and bees and have plantings to encourage them to hang out. We supply a high powered spotting scopes and binoculars for your viewing enjoyment. We particularly love our resident hummingbirds. All in all very relaxing rejuvenating location. Many of our guest come back year after year. All rave about the views and the experience. If you are awakened easily by the light just pull the curtains closed. But we love waking up to the gorgeous sunrises popping over the Cascades--however, not everyone does. There are miles of hiking and biking trails in and around the Resort. We have a championship PGA golf course in the Resort, within a mile, and 3 other PGA courses within 1/2 hr. drive. We provide two sets of clubs for our guests to use, as well as two tennis rackets and 4 pickleball paddles (bring your own balls, please). There are several tennis and pickleball courts around the resort. Down on our beach, in the summer only, we have two, two man kayaks and on single kayak for our guests us. Life jackets and paddles are on the hooks outside the garage If you enjoy a walk on the beach take our trail behind the house down to the beach. The trail can be slippery after a rain, so be very carefull. It is NOT a stairway, it is an 'improved trail' about 200 feet from top to beach. Remember to watch for high tides. At the beach we have three kayaks for guests to use. Be safe and DO NOT go out without the provided life vests (located next to the garage) We also have a very active marina and dock facility in the Resort where there are small fishing boats, sail boats, paddle boards, kayaks and bikes available for rent. The Inn at the resort has a wonderful dining room and casual eating area with a fireplace, bar and a large outdoor porch overlooking the water and marina. Guest access Directions and access will be sent to you once reservation is accepted. Other things to note BEACH ACCESS STEPS Directly behind the house is a trail to our beach. When the tide is right there is over a mile of cobble stone and sand beach to explore. Dig for clams, (we have Geoducks!), and oysters and Dungenes Crabs too. There is something new to discover on every walk.. SOME PLACES TO EAT Farm & Sea Grill (unfortunately Airbnb hides phone numbers and links} in Port Hadlock, about 6 miles from our home. It is next to a gas station at the 4-way stop and across from the QFC. The Fireside Restaurant at the Resort at Port Ludlow. The Fireside Restaurant Cuisine: Pacific Northwest Hours: Breakfast - 8:00am – 11:00am; Weekend Brunch - 8:00am - 3:00pm; Lunch - 11:00am – 4:00pm (Except Saturday and Sunday); Dinner - 5:00pm – 8:00pm (Sunday – Thursday) and 5:00pm – 9:00pm (Friday – Saturday) They have a great bar and large outdoor porch for cocktails and lunch. Cucina Italian Restaurant (URL HIDDEN) Good food and great salads very close by at the Village El Mocajete Mexican restaurant at the village is very good and has a large patio. Fiesta Jalisco Mexican Restaurant. We ha.ve eaten there numerous times and is always good. Blue Moose Café in Port Townsend We have only eaten here once but it was amazing. Very funky but great food. You must try it. Port Townsend is an historical town about 20 minutes away with markets, antiques, restaurants, a wooden boat museum and a variety of interesting shops. .
