A charming and unique property with historical significance skillfully transformed into a luxury vacation home with all the amenities. Please also note that the calendar may be a bit misleading...for example if the calendar shows 3 days are open that typically means 4 nights are available. Previous guests check out at 10 AM and you can check in the same day at 5pm. Message me if you have any questions. Please note that the OFF SEASON 2020 base rate is $135/nt for 2 guests in one bedroom. Each additional bedroom, up to 2 guests per room, is $60 extra , NOT $100 as calculated by airbnb. For example 8 guests in 4 bedrooms would be $135 + $180 = $315 per night. The appropriate adjustment will be made when you book a reservation. The full use of the 3000 square foot house is included with the guest fee for any rental, excepting use of bedrooms that are not part of the fee. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking for summer or holiday rentals. Full payment due 60 days before check-in. security deposit due 14 days before check in. NOTE: All reservations thru airbnb (or any direct booking) requires a one thousand dollar security deposit to be sent directly to the Owner. I have tried to do this thru airbnb and it has always been a nightmare. I have done it through other booking sites without any problem but airbnb has been terrible with this. The security deposit must be received 2 weeks before arrival, or paid in cash or cashier check if within 2 weeks, and is refunded within 7 days of check out and inspection. This historic converted into a residence in 2017-18 is nestled on a quiet street behind the dune system along the beach, located steps away from Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan where you can enjoy one of the best beaches in the world or boating from several local marinas and a yacht club. A spacious yard, deck, and patio expands the comfort of the contemporary interior which is complete with 2 fully equipped kitchens, 2 washers/dryers; 2-1/2 baths...and we even have an old fashioned drinking fountain! Everything has been updated and upgraded during the extensive remodel in 2017 - all new beds, paint, appliances, plumbing, electric, air conditioning, landscaping, etc. - and you can still ring the original church bell which was forged in 1869 ! Guest access As noted above during the off-season, depending on the number of guests and fees, only the appropriate number of bedrooms are available for use. For example, if a couple pays for a reservation at $125/night they are only permitted to use one bedroom, although they can use the entire house, other than the extra bedrooms. To be clear, guest have complete private use of the property and will not be sharing with any other parties. Other things to note ***PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CALENDAR IS NOT ACCURATE. PLEASE INQUIRE ABOUT AVAILABLE DATES*** The minimum low season price shown is for 2 guests using one bedroom based on a minimum 2 or 3 night booking. 3-4 guests for additional $60/night 5-6 guests add $60/night, etc), unless otherwise approved in advance. During the summer months and other high season periods a minimum 4 day rental is required. Off season a minimum 2 day rental may be permitted. Security deposits cannot be processed by Airbnb only by check, due to repeated problems and delays caused by airbnb with deposit refunds. A 150 year old church in the heart of the Bluffton historic neighborhood completely transformed, remodeled and updated in every aspect into a wonderful seasonal rental property close to beach and boating. ( All new work performed between February 2017 and March 2018). An architect designed interior and landscape with spacious accommodation for 12 guests is breathing a new life and chapter in history for this former neighborhood church. (Please note that 2 of the beds are child size for people less than 5'-6" and they are in a loft space, best suited for kids and not adults) We request that interested parties make sure that their traveler profile includes their full legal name and a profile photo for security purposes. We prefer at least 1 week notice so that we can make sure the property is ready when you need it. Last minute rentals are possible however more difficult to organize logistics for preparation and housekeeping after checkout. Please note that this property is STRICTLY no smoking, no pets, no fires outside or insIde, no fireworks allowed as we are maintaining a smoke free/allergy free property for the benefit of all guests.
