Family Cabin at Howells at the Moon Farm

The Family Cabin at Howells at the Moon Farm is located on a 13 acre old tobacco farm. The cabin is tucked away in the woods, with a stream, hot tub and fire pit. The deep porch invites you to sit and rock with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The cabin itself is about 400 sf inside, and the loft has two twin beds, more suited to children than adults. The space The cabin feels very private and peaceful, and yet you are located 5 minutes from a grocery store, 10 minutes from historic, downtown Waynesville and 30 minutes from Asheville. At the end of a busy day enjoying all the area has to offer, you can come back to your cabin, light a fire in the fire pit, and soak in your hot tub. Your deep porch is great for having breakfast or dinner alfresco, or a glass of wine as you gaze at the sun setting behind the mountains. Guest access Our cabin is located on an old tobacco farm with 13 acres. Our guests can hike the mountains surrounding the cabin, wander through the fields, visit the chickens in the coop and see the very old tobacco barn. We also have many streams on the property, one large one at the bottom of the property and several mountain streams that charm with their tumbling sounds. Please note: our road is gravel, and although not steep, it can be difficult for some motorcyclists. Other things to note The cabin has a king size bed in the master bedroom, and two twin beds in the loft. The cabin is suitable for 2 adults and up to 2 children. The loft has two twin beds more suited to children than adults. The cabin has a wonderful fire pit out front, and we supply a rack of firewood. If you need more firewood, we do sell another rack for $25. The beds are dressed in top-of-the-line linens that softly welcome you at night. We provide robes for the hot tub, and soft, thick towels for your bathroom. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to make a meal except the food, including spices and cooking oil. We even supply coffee for the coffee maker, powdered creamer, sugar and a selection of teas.
