If you have a motorcycle, we have a concrete driveway, so no gravel parking. Also many wineries nearby. Some people are aware that across the border in Naco, Mexico there are some excellent dentists. Ask us for details! The space What makes Valley's Place stand out is the completeness of our home and the amenities we offer. We are in a quiet, safe and peaceful community within minutes of all Cochise and Santa Cruz County attractions. Great views of surrounding mountains, beautiful sunsets and star-lit nights. Pretty much everything you'll need is right on site. If you have a motorcycle, you can park on the concrete driveway out front, or inside the gated, fenced backyard on a concrete pad. The following is detailed information about what is available for your convenience. The kitchen is fully functional for cooking, baking & serving. So, there is a full set of dishes, pots & pans, bake-ware, flatware & kitchen utensils. There is a programmable 12 cup Hamilton Beach coffee maker, a tea-pot, kettle, a blender, a toaster, a mini-chop, an Acme juicer, a bread-maker, a waffle maker and a crock pot. There are a number of spices in the cupboard. There is coffee, and there are coffee filters, a variety of individual coffee creamers, Splenda, Stevia, Sweet ‘n’ Low and sugar to sweeten your coffee or tea. There are some Organic Green Tea teabags, if that is your preference. There are chilled beer mugs in the freezer. There is also a drawer in the kitchen stocked with desk/office supplies. There are paper towels, paper plates, paper napkins, plastic forks, knives & spoons, plastic bags, foil wrap, plastic wrap, sandwich bags, parchment paper and kitchen towels. (Usually longer-term guests replenish some of these on their own along with toilet tissue.) We do not serve meals as part of your stay, however, when we’ve had long-term (and sometimes not-so-long-term!) guests we do enjoy sharing a meal or bottle of wine with them on occasion. If you would enjoy socializing with us, please let us know. It is something we tend to enjoy very much. Otherwise, we will respect your privacy and in any case during your stay, we never enter the house or grounds without speaking to you first. The refrigerator is empty other than being supplied with cold bottled water. It is a double door & the freezer is mostly empty (except for some frozen English muffins, butter and the chilled beer mugs!) It does have an ice-maker & we have well water that is very pure & delicious. There is a blow-dryer and a flat-iron for your hair in the bathroom, as well as soap, shampoo & conditioner, women's & mens' shaving cream. In the bathroom there are cotton balls, make-up remover pads, Q-tips, some emergency feminine sanitary supplies, body lotion, air freshener, extra toothbrushes, dental floss and mouth wash. We provide clean sheets & towels (including 3 terry cloth bathrobes & 2 cotton bathrobes.) There is a teak seat in the shower, and a handicap-height toilet in case that is something you need. There is also a first-aid kit in the linen cupboard & a small hardware kit in the laundry room. The house has a washer & dryer, along with liquid detergent, stain remover & fabric softener sheets. There is an ironing board and an iron as well as a clothing steamer, in case you need to steam-press a dress-suit or uniform. There are additional indoor & outdoor chairs in the laundry room. There are mops, brooms, a dustpan & a swiffer for quick clean-ups. Glass cleaner & cleaning supplies are in the kitchen & bathroom cupboards. On the back patio is a seating arrangement of bamboo furniture as well as the use of a propane gas grill or a smaller charcoal Weber grill. There are bright lights on the patio & above the barbeque grill. Also the back patio has fairy lights on a dimmer switch and some candles in stained glass holders to make your evenings more enjoyable. If you are coming from I-10, there is a large Walmart in Benson that you could stop at to buy groceries on your way in, before turning onto Hwy 90 south towards Sierra Vista, to get you started. Otherwise we are 3 miles north of a Dollar Tree & a Circle K, and 10 miles north of Sierra Vista (and Fort Huachuca.) In Huachuca City there is a “classic greasy spoon” which is very popular with the locals. It is called Sunny D’s Café. There is also a Mexican fast-food place in Huachuca City called Pulla’s. The master bedroom has a queen-sized "Doctor's Choice" Monarch Supreme plush mattress with a thick mattress pad. The second bedroom has a queen-sized top-notch Sealy Posturepedic bed with a tempurpedic topper & a thick mattress pad for extra comfort. The sleep sofa in the living room is brand new & has a tempurpedic-style mattress along with a thick mattress pad, so it is very comfortable. There are three hotel-quality luggage stands so that you have a convenient place to put your suitcases. We have had guests who do a lot of their work on their computers and lap-tops, and so far there have been no problems with bandwidth. If there is the slightest problem, please let us know immediately so we can address it! There are also office supplies in one of the kitchen drawers. There is a full entertainment set-up in the living room, with a 55" flat screen TV, surround sound, Netflix & Amazon, etc. with a Roku device. Steve has provided printed instructions for the use of the remote controls, since that can often be confusing. There is an iPod player in the Master Bedroom as well as two reading lights that each have a USB on the base, for charging your cell-phones at night. There is also a wall-charger on the wall of the living room. There are a few different types of bed pillows, and a number of different blankets, so there should be something that meets your preferences. There are also two queen size down duvets in the Master Bedroom closet. There are extra sheets, blankets and towels in the hall closets. Baskets are provided so that the excess pillows from the beds can be stored and not put on the floor when not in use. There's plenty of drawer space & hanging space, hangers & closet space for your clothes & suitcases. We have visited the Sierra Vista Visitors’ Center & the Sierra Vista Park Ranger Station and gathered many informational brochures, etc. that are displayed next to the computer in the second bedroom. We hope this will save you some time! I'm trying to be very thorough so you'll know what is here to make your stay easier, better and less expensive. Often our guests ask specific questions and I hope all of the answers are here. We try very hard to make life as easy as possible for our guests. If you have any questions, or I've left anything out, please don't hesitate to let us know. We appreciate knowing our guests' arrival time & hope to greet you when you arrive, but there is a keybox with a code in case you need to arrive at an off-hour or if we are not available. We really enjoy hosting our AirBnB, and we have met so many very nice people! Again, we’re very happy you've decided to spend your time at our place, and hope that it will feel like a home-away-from-home to you while you are here. Recently we had avid bird-watchers stay for a month & during that time they spotted 25 different types of birds right in our own backyard. So now we have 2 pairs of binoculars that you can use to see how many you can spot. There is a complete list of the birds in the on-site manual, but I could also email it to you if you are interested in advance. There are a number of books about Bisbee, Tombstone and Arizona. We are very familiar with most of the wineries in the Sonoita/Elgin area and will be happy to make recommendations if you plan to visit any of those. We also make our own wine, so it is something of great interest to us! We look forward to meeting you!! Your hosts, Valley & Steve Tyminski Guest access Guests will have access to the whole house (minus 1 small closet), back patio, and most of the fenced yard. Some guests arrive late at night so access control is provided by a house key stored in a lock box near the front door. We'll provide a lock box access code to each guest. If you need an early check-in, late check-in or a delayed departure, please don't hesitate to ask. We will accommodate those requests whenever possible. I am sorry to say that I no longer accept pets. Other things to note I'm sorry to say that I no longer accept pets. Please advise of your anticipated check-in time. When possible, I like to greet guests in person and explain the entertainment system and a few other things. The entire house is a smoke-free environment, however smoking is allowed on the back covered patio.
