Living Spaces Rich jewel tones and pristine heirloom antiques create an atmosphere of uncommon luxury and unique attention to detail. The mountain stone electric fireplace makes quite a statement as you enter Mount Nouveau, as do the bright inviting living spaces. A plush Chesterfield sofa, and two cozy side chairs welcome guests to relax and enjoy their surroundings as they admire the one-of-a-kind gold accent pieces and original art. Nearby is our mini-bar, ready to add a refreshing twist to your stay. A separate intimate sunroom sits just in front of a sliding glass door, making it the perfect vantage point from which to enjoy your morning coffee as you gaze out over nature’s bounty. If you visit at the right time of year, you’ll also be able to marvel at Chattanooga city views, as well. Kitchen/Dining Our fully-equipped kitchen with a family-sized refrigerator and glass-topped stove invites the family chef to make all the family’s favorite meals and perhaps even be inspired to try a new recipe. Stainless steel appliances, black countertops, and white cabinets create a dramatic statement in this inviting space. The distinctive dining area pays homage to nature with its forest-inspired wall covering, while the unusual dining table provides both booth-style and comfortable chairs for seating to enjoy the chef’s creations and each other’s company. Bedrooms/Baths The sun-drenched primary suite offers a queen size bed, and opulent furnishings reflecting the Hollywood Regency design style. Features here include a cozy chair with a lamp from which to stream favorite shows on the smart TV. The spa-like ensuite bath offers a decadent soaking tub, and separate walk-in shower. The first guest room is outfitted in sunny, cheery colors and enjoys abundant sunshine. Outfitted with a queen bed, it boasts a private deck that leads straight to our magical backyard. The second guest room is a dual purpose room, with both a twin bed with a trundle and a beautiful work-from-home setup with desk and chair overlooking the lovely wooded grounds. A hall bath with a tub/shower is shared between the two guest rooms. We are pleased to provide our guests with a washer and dryer, and A/C. We welcome our youngest guests with kid-friendly toys, games, porta-crib, and high chair. Outdoor Amenities Between being surrounded by a national park, having 1930s stone walls in the backyard, terraced gardens, many climb-able, mossy boulders on the property, lounge areas and a fire pit, the property is nothing short of spectacular. Here, you’ll revel in the peace and tranquility so many of us are lacking in our everyday lives. This truly is a mountain escape. Hikers will love being able to walk right out the door and be directly on thousands of acres of preserved land and hiking trails. ** Please note that a signed renter agreement is required upon booking confirmation. There is a back deck that allows for you to look at the views off the side of Lookout Mountain. Off of the kitchen is a patio area that leads to a terraced garden with a Rock City worthy boulder and a bonfire pit. That area ends into a stone wall built by the national park service in the 1930's. Other things to note The property is not wheelchair accessible. No smoking. No pets. No parties or events.
