This beautiful, newly-renovated home, recently chosen as a feature house for the Serena and Lily Catalog, is located in the most popular area of Cape Elizabeth. The area is so popular because of the close proximity to downtown Portland and the walkability to 3 beaches, the shops, restaurants and bakeries of Cottage Road and Willard Square, and an easy 10-minute walk to the Portland headlight--the world's most photographed lighthouse. Offered for the first time ever as a vacation rental home, this spacious home offers several large spaces for entertaining and also smaller spaces for quiet moments--the best of both worlds. This gorgeous home sits on a 1/2 acre land peninsula, with only one abutting neighbor on the back side of our back yard. The perimeter of the entire back yard has many pine trees for privacy and offers a fantastic space for kids to play in. Off the kitchen, there is a huge deck with lounge seating and a matching table and chairs for 8 guests. A spacious and fun area for casual outdoor dinners or get-togethers. The deck features a new propane fire pit for cool Maine evenings. A stone patio next to the deck features a brand new 7-seat hot tub. There is also a covered porch off the great room area with additional lounge seating and a brand new large SS gas grill. FREE WIFI. Guest access This is a private single-family residence and we do not live here or vacation here but we do live blocks away. Managing my vacation rental homes is my full-time occupation, so I am always available to help. Guests will have access to all areas described above, in addition to the gorgeous private sandy neighborhood beach, considered the prettiest beach in Cape Elizabeth. Please note that our area is lovely and very peaceful. Maintaining the peacefulness of our neighborhood is very important and we have strict 9 pm to 9 am quiet hours when outdoors. Please feel free to ask any questions about this. Please note that gatherings and events are strictly prohibited at this home and the home is to be enjoyed by the guests who stay here. On occasion, we do allow gatherings at this home that do not involve more than 12 people, whether they are daytime or evening guests or if you are hosting local guests for a meal, but permission must be requested at the time that the reservation is made. Maximum overnight occupancy is 8 guests. VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER: Please read the house rules section before requesting a reservation and ask any questions that you may have, as the house rules are very important. Pets will be considered at this home on an individual basis and only with prior approval and a pet fee. If you would like to bring your pets, please only submit an inquiry so we can discuss your reservation. Booking requests (where you load your credit card into the inquiry form) do not work when pets are included, so please send a regular inquiry first. Unapproved pets may be asked to be boarded, as all pets must be approved in advance, due to cleaning and sanitization requirements and potential allergy issues. Other things to note There are only 4 steps to enter the home and there is a gorgeous first floor KING bedroom, a first floor private den with a very comfortable QUEEN sofa bed and a first floor bathroom with step-in shower. Please note that there is a mandatory $99 damage insurance policy for all reservations. This is purchased separately on your credit card and covers all accidental damage, not due to tenant negligence or neglect up to $5000 in value. This policy protects your refundable deposit.
