Quiet Water Cabin
Stay in our serene cabin, tucked away in the forested Quiet Water community on the Yachats River, 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach & the town of Yachats. This cabin won an award of merit in Sunset Magazine in 1985! Pool and hot tub closes for winter after Labor Day weekend. We often allow early check in and late check out - we will let you know if it’s available and is NOT guaranteed. :) Enjoy backyard access to Quiet Water's private walking trail, community pool, hot tub, tennis court, & fire pit. Walk the river trail off the back porch to the beach or the shared boat launch on the river for fishing & kayaking. Get cozy by the fireplace with movies. Beautiful and cared for craftsman cabin with Yellow Alaskan Cedar interior. Big windows & skylight, fireplace, fully stocked kitchen and tasteful furniture & decor. Cozy & charming - perfect for a family, friends on a fishing trip, or a romantic getaway. Coffee, teas, spices, your basic condiments, and oatmeal are provided. Grill on the back deck with views of the forest. Essentials (such as linens, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, soap/detergent) and beach towels are provided. There is strong Wifi, plenty of games and puzzles, horse shoes & tennis rackets and a media player on the TV that has Netflix and more! We use non toxic soaps and cleaning supplies wherever possible. All fabrics, bedding/duvets, blankets are washed in between bookings to ensure cleanliness of the space. Walking or driving to town or nearby beach is easy and quick. Free parking spaces for two cars (one covered space). My mother Lisa lives in town and is available to give you a tour of Quiet Water or offer any in person support during your stay if you give her a call or text. Otherwise we give you your privacy. Just south of the town of Yachats, Quiet Water is a serene wooded community of cabins. Though you are surrounded by other cabins, there is a very private feel. The land is really something special, with walking trails right off your back porch that bring you along the Yachats river or to the nearby beach - Yachats Ocean Road State Natural Site. Trails on quiet water land are not open to the public so you feel you are in another world! You are also protected from the often harsh winds by the ocean. The cabin is a 5 minutes walk to the ocean and the town of Yachats. Very close to Highway 101 (but without highway noise or visual). Private covered parking available for one car and uncovered shared parking available quick walk from cabin. TWO CAR LIMIT. Please note that Quiet Water Community rules (rules for the pool, hot tub, common spaces, and parking) must be followed - these will be posted in the cabin and the Airbnb house manual. Dogs must be on leash on quiet water property at all times. Two dog limit. POOL AND HOT TUB OPEN MID -LATE JUNE THROUGH LABOR DAY. Pool and hot tub hours: Monday - Friday 2 to 6 pm Saturday 12 to 8 pm Sundays & holidays 2 to 6 pm ***Fireplace includes an electric insert that simulates the heat and glow of a wood burning fireplace *** do not remove. ACCESSIBILITY : This cabin is not ADA accessible. There are four steps leading up to the front door, and five steps off the back deck. There are 10 + steps up to the landing with the Queen bed. There are no steps on the bottom floor which includes living room, dining area, kitchen and bathroom. 9% Yachats short term rental tax is included.
