Family fun & relaxation come to mind when you pull into the gated entrance of this home nestled back off the road. The views off the huge back deck are truly breathtaking, and the sunrise over the Lake Whitney Bridge is something you will truly enjoy as you drink your morning coffee, as this is what gives the home its name "Bridgeview Lodge". The space This home can easily sleep 8 adults. The wall of windows in the living area and master bedroom allow you to never miss a minute enjoying the scenery. The spacious kitchen, wood burning stove, aspen wood finishes, barn with ping pong table, tire swing, and many outdoor activities for our guests is just a short list of reasons why this will become your favorite vacation spot! The property is roughly 3 1/2 acres, allowing you to spread out and enjoy yourself. The kitchen is fully stocked with a freezer with an ice maker, blender, coffee maker, Keurig machine, toaster, full size oven, crock pot, cookie sheets, rice cooker, flat electric griddle, nice cookware, BBQ Grill & utensils, 2 prong skewers, hot pads & oven mitts, wine bottle opener, and Iced Tea pitcher. We provide ground coffee (kept in the freezer), powdered creamer, salt, and pepper, (Please bring your favorite K-cup for the Keurig.) We have beautiful butcher block countertops. Keep in mind that wood and water play well together, but not for long periods. There are kitchen towels in a drawer next to the dishwasher to use to keep things clean and dry. The bathrooms have the softest towels and are in different colors so everyone knows which towel is theirs to help avoid confusion! We've got a few toothbrushes in case you've forgotten yours (or your children didn't pack one, haahaa) also there is a hair dryer in each bathroom. The beds all have very soft cotton sheets with great pillows and soft quilts. The over-sized loft has 2 queen size beds and the downstairs bedrooms one has a king bed and the other has a queen size bed. There is plenty of room to move around without feeling crowded. There are mirrors in both bedrooms so people can get ready while someone else is in the bathroom. Downstairs bedrooms also have dressers to place clothes inside if you are staying for a bit and do not want to live out of a suitcase for your trip. A full sized closet is available in the front bedroom to hang clothes in. The closet in the back bedroom is used as an owners closet. The washing/dryer machine is a hard working stack-able that is underneath the stairs. Nothing better than returning home with clean swimsuits and kid’s clothes from the lake! Boat owners, bring the boat with you as we have plenty of room to park and maneuver your boat and trailer on this property. There is also lake access within a 5 minute drive to the secluded cove with a boat ramp and floating dock to launch your boat/canoe/jet ski. Swimming in the cove is also easy and enjoyable as there is a small beach area where the surrounding cliffs keep the waters calm and serene. Lake Whitney is also listed as one of the TOP fishing lakes in Texas. Predominant fish species on the lake include striped and white bass, smallmouth and largemouth bass, crappie and channel, blue and flathead catfish. The lake offers scenic views of gently sloping banks, clear and hardwood timber as well as awe-inspiring views of the limestone bluffs. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy the spectacular wildlife that frequents the property. Deer can be seen most mornings as well as a family of foxes, and many species of birds. The property backs up to a wooded area with no fence, so the deer come and go in the back yard like it is their own playground. Guest access Guests have use of the entire property with exception of the main garage which is locked. We have the Master Bedroom closet & a pantry area in the kitchen locked as well and marked as "Owners". Other things to note We fell in love with the serenity and the wide open space. The views from the deck whether watching the sunrise, star gazing, or just visiting with friends and family provides a relaxed, stress free setting. We enjoy watching the deer wander through our yard, and the hawks making lazy circles over the tree tops in the distance. The community cove is another enjoyable perk to this property, and is a 5-7 minute drive through the subdivision to access. We enjoy a quick dip in the Lake in the summer evenings as the sun is beginning to set. The high cliffs surrounding the cove always keep the waters calm, and give a breathtaking backdrop to our swim.
