VIlladeLago, The Lake House, is located in a secluded enclave in historic Cave Rock Nevada. Nestled in pines that sweep down through the riparian shrubbery from the home to the property’s private pier and buoy. Whether by day or night the lighted staircase will carry you to the magic of the bouldered shoreline where you can spend your time relaxing to the sound of the waves and Tahoe’s ever-changing panorama or take a dip from off the pier and swim in waters as clear and brilliant as our skies. De Lago, brings the outside in with expansive windows that reach from floor to ceiling and doors that sweep open to bring the lakes vistas in uninterrupted to our second living and dining area on the deck above the always playful waters of Lake Tahoe. De Lago’s décor is rich in eclecticism with antiques, comfortable furnishings and beds; appointments and original art that show case stunning vintage chandeliers. We like to think it’s fun, cozy, comfortable and smart with a deference to the traditions of lake nostalgia that will give you memories and stories to last a lifetime. Fireplaces The predominant feature of the main hall is the floor to ceiling fireplace in the living room. With an oversized wood burning firebox capable of keeping you in the mood during your escape with logs up to 30 inch. All the irons are hand wrought and oversized to accommodate large logs. A plentiful supply of firewood is complimentary. The master suite fireplace is gas log and can be operated by remote allowing for the convenience of instantaneous warmth and glow. Outdoor gas fireplace located on main deck. Great Hall The main hall is an open split level floor plan allowing guests to share in all the homes main entertaining activities; cooking, dining, sitting and reading area, television and a powder room on top of beautiful hardwood floors, and carpets and unique and comfortable furnishings. The main deck is accessed off both the living and dining areas through large 6 foot glass doors in between wall to wall and floor to ceiling windows. Dining accommodates 8 plus 3 at the counter, living room accommodates 6 on the sofas plus 2 on the leather ottomans and many more on the large stone hearth. The reading area accommodates 2 with leather chaise lounges. Main deck The main deck is accessed off the living and dining areas through sweeping doors. Lounging area seats 8 on sofas and ottomans and the dining area seats 8 at one table and of course there are panoramic lake views and a bbq. Access to the dock is off a stair case from the main deck down through trees and shrubs with subtle stair lighting. Stainless gas outdoor fireplace on deck. Master Suite and Bath The lake view master suite is one floor lower than the main hall and is secluded from the rest of the home. King size sleigh bed, chaise lounge next to the fireplace, hardwood floors and carpets, large wall to wall windows that access the lower deck, and stairs that pass to the dock and upper deck. The master bath is generous and airy with double vanities and a dry sauna, lake views from the double sized double zone shower and tub. Upstairs Bedrooms Both upstairs bedrooms have queen beds with luxury linens and bedding and you will enjoy Lakeview’s from either choice. Both bedrooms are furnished with antiques and modern appointments. The bathroom is shared. The loft game room is accessible on the same level as the bedrooms. Loft The loft is directly above and behind the main hall and has lake views on par with the main hall. Pool table with bar stools . Unique, decorations and art. Bonus bedroom with king bed and with view from French doors leading outside. Private bedroom is accessed thru an entrance and a stairway off the garage. Shares full bathroom with bedrooms upstairs. Has workspace desk and large screen tv. The Dock and Boating Facilities The wood dock is approximately 100 feet long above a beautiful bouldered bottom. The boat lift is not accessible to guests but the 15,000 pound boat capacity buoy is as well as tie up to the dock. The boating closet houses a refrigerator and ice chests for your convenience and leisure on the lake. 1 double seat kayak and 2 single kayaks, and 2 paddle boards are available for guest use. Some life preservers for people and pets are available. Jacuzzi key is in kitchen to right of front door. Locks are on buckles of hot tub lid. Make sure to lock when not in use. We have a whole house back up generator to provide continuous electrical service for our guests during power outages. After booking guests will be asked to sign a house rules agreement and provide drivers license photo of booking guest. Emailed prior to arrival. A private “quiet” street on the shoreline of Lake Tahoe below historic Cave Rock. A retreat into nature with the accessibility to Cave Rock boat launch nearby at Cave Rock State Park. House has Private Pier & Buoy. Close to beaches, trails, dining, Art Galleries, shopping, horse stables, casinos, spa services, entertainment and ski resorts. A car for transportation is a necessity. The guests will be provided a guest basket of goodies with various items. Please leave the basket. Guests are welcome to these items at no charge. Additionally, EO Soap, EO shampoo, EO conditioner, EO lotion, and paper products on sight. The kitchen does have various pantry items, an array of spices, oils, coffee, and condiments for your convenience at no charge. For Coffee lovers we have a Keurig, NESPRESSO machine , French Press and auto drip. The house book has a plethora of ideas of restaurants, activities, shopping for review. OUR AIRBNB GUEST BOOK ONLINE has restaurant & activities for your reflection. THE APP, VISIT LAKE TAHOE has many great ideas for your trip. The home is equipped with one video camera on the driveway only without sound. The home also has an inside and outside noise aware system that does not record conversations but monitors decibel levels to keep the property in compliance with Douglas County noise ordinances. The CODES for the house will be given day of ARRIVAL at check in time. THE pad is to the left of garage door. The inner door from garage into house has a code as well. The motion lights to the house will come on if you arrive after dark. The house Is black and located 2nd to last on right hand side of street. Villa de Lago above the garage. DO NOT PARK ON STREET AT ANY TIME A Code Violation. 4 CARS ONLY. 2 in garage with passes on drivers dash and 2 in driveway with passes on drivers dash. BE MINDFUL OF OUR PROPERTY & Neighbors INCLUDING USE only of OUR DOCK, 1440 BUOY, AND BEAR BOX LOCATED ON NEXT TO DRIVEWAY. DO not Put trash outside of box or in Neighbors box a Code Violation Pets: Must be on leash while outside except on deck, use only our property for Pet waste. Using others property is trespassing. Our neighbors have cameras. Pick up Pet Waste. If you desire to take furry family for a walk spooner lake is close . Fire wood is located in the garage for your enjoyment. Do not remove firewood from property. Screen doors: keep shut when not in use. Wildlife will come in. Additional Cleaning Services: are available if scheduled ahead and crew is available when desired. Minimum of 3 hours per time. If interested I will send our resource for pricing and scheduling. When you depart please do not lock door leading into garage. In preparation for departure please follow check out list located on counter or sent to you close to your departure on Airbnb. The key forJacuzzi on ring next to front door or in box next to the Jacuzzi. When not in use keep locked at all times. Do not break locks on cover . Unlock them instead. DO NOT FLUSH ANYTHING IN TOILET OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER. We Have a sewer ejection system . It is very expensive to fix . Sewer Ejection System: Has an alarm located on side of house. With a noise alarm and red flashing light. Key to shut off is located next to the box. Let me know as soon as possible if this occurs.
