Chalet Lilia, Romantic, Private, Breathtaking View

Our cottage is ideal for a couple. Most small places for two will be apartments - here you will be in the heart of a unique traditional village on the Lake, but living in your own private chalet with lovely outdoor space and uninterrupted views. The cottage was built 20 years ago, repurposing the original stone from a pre-existing Roman building. It is perfect as a base to explore many other Lake sites, hike, boat, sunbathe, relax, and enjoy local cuisine. The space First you need to climb up 80 steep steps, which is not ideal, but... when you finally get up to the property, it won't matter at all! You will walk through the front gate onto a long stone balcony, take in the view, and breathe, leaving all your worries behind. The first floor has stone tile flooring and exposed wood beams - it is your living area, with a cushioned bench, a table with chairs, a full kitchen with 4 knobs, an oven, and a stainless steel counter. An outdoor table can be set up on the balcony/terrace for al-fresco dining, with a parasol. A staircase takes you to the second floor - with cathedral ceilings, exposed wood beams, a large picture window, and a lovely little balcony. You will have two chairs and a small table at your disposal, for your morning coffee. The bathroom had a shower, toilet, and bidet. On the ground floor, you will have a garden, equipped with two lounge chairs and two armchairs. You can barbecue in the garden, as well. (Sorry, the fireplace cannot be used for insurance reasons - please do not insist). Guest access You will have access to the entire cottage, and you will have it all to yourself. We now offer SELF CHECK-IN for your convenience, you will find the keys in a lockbox with a combination, right by the gate. Other things to note Make sure you are ok with climbing 88 steep steps to get up and down from the cottage. It is worth it, we promise! PACK LIGHT, though. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND RENTING A CAR. Local public transportation options are few and far between. Uber doesn’t exist, and there are no taxis in town. There are limited dining and grocery options within walking distance. The fireplace is DECORATIVE only, it cannot be used under any circumstances. Even though we don't have private parking, all over town there are many free parking spots. Just below the house, you will see the public town pier. A ferry stops twice a day, and you can go for romantic visits to Bellagio, Varenna, and Como. Just 5 minutes away on foot, you will find a gorgeous award-winning sundeck structure / public park overlooking the lake, with swimming facilities, with a lovely casual bistro/bar/restaurant open from 9am to 12pm in the summer season.
