Your home away from home on the Mendocino Coast. This 1890's residence in the heart of Fort Bragg, has been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. It's Just steps away from downtown shops, restaurants, North Coast Brewery, Glass Beach, and the Skunk Train. And just a short drive from Mendocino, wineries, hiking and biking trails, kayaking, and numerous other outdoor activities. Please be aware that Granny's attic s TUB ONLY room. There is no shower. All rooms have a mini-fridge and microwave. The space This warm and charming room with ample amounts of natural light is one of our guest's favorites. A long soak in its claw-foot tub with our complimentary bath salts or bubble bath is just the thing to make the stress of daily life melt away. It's upstairs, away from the street, and features a queen size bed and a private bath with tub. Note: there is NO shower in this room. It is a TUB ONLY room. Also, due to the fact that the room has "dormers," or slanted roof on both sides, it does have low ceilings around the bed and over the bath tub. Guest access Guests have access to a refrigerator, microwave, parking, WiFi, eating utensils/plates/glasses/bottle openers etc., our garden area and deck spaces. During your stay The owner and Innkeeper, Christine, lives on site and is available almost 24/7 should guests have questions or a late night emergency. However, we give our guests all the privacy and personal space possible. Other things to note Unplug for a day or two - you'll be surprised how good it feels! We do not have TV's in our rooms. There are many reasons for this, but the main reason is that it preserves this 1890's residence as a quiet retreat. Enjoy a romantic evening with your sweetheart, get some much needed rest, play a game of cards, chess, or monopoly, and do it in peace. You won't be listening to your neighbors TV late into the night at this B&B. And, if you absolutely can't leave the hustle and bustle of the modern world for a day or two, we have fast and dependable Wifi available. There are also several bars, including North Coast Brewing Company, within walking distance that show your favorite sporting events. No breakfast is served at our guesthouse.
