I myself will be available to show you the way out to the Houseboat and how everything works. This Houseboat is in the best location with beautiful views, also allowing a short trip to land. This is the only Houseboat on Airbnb in Key West that gives you a skiff to get to and from land yourself. This truly is an amazing experience. This houseboat is so beautiful it was used by the band “Old Dominion” to film their music video for the song “I was on a boat that day” ! Included with the rental of the Houseboat is a motor boat to get to and from the dock as well as two bikes and two single kayaks. The dock you use to get to, and from the Houseboat is located in the middle of Key West. This stay is on a houseboat so basic knowledge of the water is recommended. This is a bareboat charter. So there will be no captain on the boat and you’ll be responsible for getting yourself to and from the boat on a skiff . It is a very short trip to shore as it takes about four minutes. And you’ll be free to come and go as you please. 50 ton master Captain and seventh generation local captain is available to take you out snorkeling, to sandbar tours and sunset cruises. You can inquire about this after booking! The day you’re scheduled to check in we will pick a time to check you in and show you the way out to the boat and how everything on the boat works. This is a fairly simple check in process again being familiar with boats makes it a lot simpler. The main things I will show you on the Houseboat is the generator and solar power. The boat does have a full-size fridge/ Freezer, microwave oven, stove top, hot water, full size shower, sleep number queen size bed, top deck for sunsets and star gazing, and everything you’ll need to be more than comfortable. This stay gives you the option to have a six generation local captain take you out to sandbars, snorkeling, dolphin watching, or sunset tours. An experienced captain who can pick you up from the Houseboat and take you to locations most tourists do not get to see. He is available to do separate Charters out to secluded sandbars and islands for snorkeling dolphin watching . If you are interested in booking a charter during your stay he will be available, weather permitting. If you are interested please inquire about these charters after you book. Guest access The entire boat is yours and your nearest neighbors are far away in the bay. So you’ll feel very private and secluded as you enjoy this unique experience. Access to and from the boat is made to use of skiff provided with the use of the rental. It is a very short trip to land and the grocery stores restaurants and stores are all close by! Other things to note The toilet is a little different than yours at home main difference being that you won’t put toilet paper down the head it will go into a trashcan. An extra cleaning fee will be charged if dishes are left in the sink or the house is left in very unclean conditions. You can get to and from land very easily and quickly this boat is special because it offers the other side of Key West like peaceful calm ocean views sunsets snorkeling.
