The Little Cottage on Pike Lake/Lakefront

Adorable lake cottage 10 minutes from Duluth. CHEERS you're here:) Put your feet up and relax on the covered porch. Enjoy the summer breeze, lake laughter, stunning sunsets, star filled skies and maybe a glimpse of the Northern Lights as our cottage faces north. With 100 feet of lake front there is plenty of room to play! Enjoy the lakeside fire pit and s'mores, Lilypad, kayaks, & dock space for your boat or plane. We have lawn games, sand shovels and buckets for kids and blow up floats. The space So welcoming to everyone, this home is so cozy complete with a stone fireplace (gas), a baby grand piano, an updated kitchen stocked with: Crock Pot, Breville Juicer, Panini maker, hand mixer, blender, four slice toaster, microwave, waffle maker, Mr Coffee, Keurig, french press, dishwasher, spices, teas, coffees, salad spinner, many bowls and new cookware for fun cooking projects. The breakfast bar seats 2 and an attached dining area with an 6 person dining table. We have loads of books, games and puzzles for all ages as well as Nintendo (semi retro), VCR, movies and excellent cable channels and super fast internet complete with boosters. TV's are: medium sized in master bedroom, medium size in living room and a large smart tv in the basement. The covered porch is amazing for entertaining, breakfast, lunch, dinner, naps and my favorite...watching summer storms. We have kites to borrow, sleds, pack'n play, high chair, infant monitor, life jackets, telescope, and Kayaks. Enjoy the evenings with a beachside bon fire. There is a fun golf course and clubhouse with a restaurant and bar only 3 minutes away by car. Also, within walking distance is the CastIron Bar and Grill about a 10 minute walk. Within a three minute drive is: a grocery store, liquor store, Dairy Queen, gas station with an ATM and a bait and tackle shop. I'm happy to help you plan your trip if you need a little local help. From Lake Superior fishing tours to mountain bike trails to shopping...I am happy to help:) Parking for multiple cars ***All guests must be registered. Entry is passcode which is changed for each group of guests to assure safety. Guest access This is an "entire home rental", you will have your own secured code for the front door and this code is changed with every guest visit. There is also a Ring camera at the front door to assure security for our guests. The driveway is approximately 100 feet long and there is enough parking at the bottom near the garage for about 4-6 cars and or a boat trailer should you choose to bring your own boat. Other things to note Rate is based on 6 guests/this includes both adults AND children. We CAN NOT accommodate more. There are larger homes on the lake and we are happy to help you secure one of those for your visit. Please look for a larger home if you will have more than 6 people, we simply cannot accommodate given our well, sewer and size of the home. You may use the canoe or kayaks at no charge. Please be careful with them and stay at least 100 feet from any wildlife including ducks and geese. Renters are responsible for any injury or damage incurred during use. ***This is a lake home in Minnesota so there will be insects such as but not limited to mosquitos, flies, spiders, etc. We are professionally sprayed around the foundation of the home but there will be bugs outside and a few may sneak in. PLEASE keep the doors closed, this helps so much. We do not allow BB guns or another type of play gun on the property. We have loads of friendly pet chipmunks and squirrels and do not tolerate them or any wildlife being harassed.
