Hiker’s Hideaway Romantic Cabin

*THIS IS A MOUNTAINOUS PROPERTY. 4/ALLWHEEL DRIVE REQUIRED IN INCLEMENT WINTER WEATHER* Instagram: @hikershideaway. The perfect spot for a romantic getaway or the ideal place for hiking adventures! PET FRIENDLY! Relax on the deck at 2,700ft elevation overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Visit the local fishing pond. Drive 8 mins to an access road and then hike 1 mile into the Shenandoah National Park. Luray Caverns is 25 minutes away. Local wine at Wisteria Farm and Vineyards, 15 minutes away. The space NOT a completely remote neighborhood. There are 2 visible houses facing the driveway. This studio cabin has one large room for living, dining, and bedroom areas. The kitchen is separated by a wall and the bathroom is private. In the fall, there is an apple tree in the yard that provides a sweet snack for you to pick! Internet is very slow- enough for you to access your maps and your email, but not enough for streaming and not always guaranteed. A landline is provided for emergencies. Guest access Sleeps 2-4 Pet friendly- dog bowls, extra blankets, treats, poo bags and paw wipes for your dog are provided. They can be tough to navigate in the winter. We strongly encourage all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicles, especially Oct-March. If there is no snow, we have no problem getting around in our small car; however, sometimes the break light comes on when we are driving back down Tanner’s Ridge Rd. because it is so steep. There are also 2 houses within sight of the cabin. When you look out the large windows in the living room, they’re behind you so they don’t obstruct your view.
