Other things to note Winter guests, please keep in mind that Chateau LeVeaux has two steep driveways. A vehicle with four-wheel drive is recommended for winter road conditions to best access the property and area. This upper level hotel room is located above the common area deck, which could be a potential for occasional noise from other guests who may be sitting on the deck chairs enjoying the view of Lake Superior. The room is an older-style North Woods decor and a great value for accommodations directly on Lake Superior. The Gitchi-Gami State Trail crosses the property's driveway for an easy-access paved walk. Take a left off the driveway onto the trail for a scenic, tree-lined, lake-view walk as you head back toward the town of Tofte.
