The historic Kirkland Ranch (KR) is a destination offering 120 acres of perfect trails for horseback riding, excellent amenities for a family vacation, tranquility/privacy for a romantic getaway, and more. With four Bedrooms and three baths, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and plenty of parking, you can comfortably fit up to eight guests. Wake up in the morning surrounded by beauty, enjoy your coffee on the deck watching the sunrise, and take in the never-ending views. The space Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, we are comfortably nestled between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe (day trip?) and feature a 1,600-foot peak dubbed “Kay’s View” in honor of my Mom, a place she loved to visit often. We are also available for weddings and special events which can include use of the Ranch house. Pricing on weddings and events will vary. We have partnered with some of the 40+ local wineries to bring our guests a white-glove service while wine tasting (Cooper Vineyard, Story, Helwig Winery, and Dillian, just to name a few). You can opt to arrive at the wineries by horseback! That’s right; we are the only resort that can boast Wine Tasting by Horseback on your personal horses.!
