A 1500 sq. ft. 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment. complete with full kitchen, washer and dryer, spacious living areas, (a 40" flatscreen with built in DVD player if you must watch something on a TV!), a lanai and patio looking onto the lush backyard and creek. (at present, because of Insurance liabilities, I do not allow use of my canoe, but you are welcome to bring your own, or rent one nearby) 2 Bedrooms, each with a Queen size bed, and each with it's own full bathroom (sink, toilet, combination shower/bath). Full kitchen. House comes with clean bedding, linens and towels, and toilet paper. Kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls mugs, glassware. I am usually out of town, as I travel for work, but am available by phone, etc. (This is my house, so if you are staying here, I am out of town!) My sister and brother-in-law live about a mile away. They watch over my place in my absence. A very quiet setting in a residential area of mostly single family dwellings, not far from many activities. One can see "Everglades Wondergardens" from the front of the property. You can easily walk to a few restaurants, and the new food truck area; a park with a playground, bandshell, and kayak rental; Spa and Yoga at the Shangri-la spa; Bicycle rental; ice cream parlor; Benson's, a small general-store style grocery; Wednesday farmer's market; ( all on nearby Old Highway 41 and all walkable). There's a community public pool and tennis courts less than a mile away. "LeeTran" operates a public bus system that can connect you with the public beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. Bonita Beach and the entrance to Barefoot Beach Preserve are 4 miles away. Or go farther to Lover's Key, Ft Myers Beach, shelling at Sanibel Island. Also recommended are Naples; Cypress Slough Preserve; The Everglades National Park. A car is recommended, as many amenities are not within close walking distance. Or check into "LeeTran" for the bus system. I think Uber and Lyft, etc. are not yet so dependable in the area. However there are a few restaurants and some groceries within a few blocks.(see above). Off street parking. RSW is the closest airport, 18 miles, less than 30 minutes away by car. Wifi No cable TV, sorry, but I really do want you to enjoy other things in life, especially while you're on holiday in my house! There is a Roku device. Please bring your own beach towels and keep the towels that come with the place indoors. (it helps us keep the towels in good shape longer).
