The Birdhouse is a family-owned, 2018-built cabin offering wooded seclusion and a valley view. Enjoy 2 private bedrooms each with a queen bed as well as a large ladder-accessed loft containing 2 twin beds. Central heating and cooling keeps the cabin comfy in any weather. On nice days, open the garage door in the living room to bring the outdoors in! The wrap-around porch is the perfect place to relax and listen to the birds. Two small storage closets that house supplies in the loft are locked. The hosts or co-host are available via text or phone call. It is our priority that you have a great stay! Timber Ridge: a forested neighborhood dotted with well-spaced-out cabins. Located less than 10 minutes from the Natural Bridge State park and Miguel's Pizza. Navigating the Red River Gorge area is best done with a personal vehicle. WATER -The Birdhouse's water is provided by truck delivery to a cistern. The water is recommended for bathing and cooking, but not recommended for drinking. We provide one 5 gallon jug of drinking water for your stay, but please plan to bring more if you think you will need it. FIREWOOD -We do not provide firewood for the fire pit, though sometimes there are a few pieces left from previous guests. -Please plan to bring or buy your own local wood. It is sold at various stores and at family roadside stands. -Also plan to bring any fire starters you may need -You are welcome to collect tinder and kindling in the forest surrounding the cabin. CHARCOAL GRILL -We do not provide charcoal for the grill, though sometimes there is some left over from previous guests. -Please plan to bring or buy your own charcoal and lighter fluid. -We provide a large metal trash can to dispose ashes in.
