We'd love to welcome you into our clean and comfortable apartment for your stay in SLC. Our home is located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains on a private lane in Holladay offering amazing valley views from the East bench of SLC. A quick 20 miles from the airport with easy access to the canyons & freeways putting you within about 35 minutes of 7 ski resorts (Solitude, Brighton, Alta, Snow Bird, Park City Mountain, The Canyons and Deer Valley) and 20 minutes from downtown SLC. The space The space is our walk out basement apartment. All 1300 sq ft of it is yours to explore! There is only 1 bathroom though, so only bring people you really like! We have 2 beds available that comfortably sleep 4. We also can provide a pack & play upon request. We are picky about beds, so here's the deets on them if you are too: The king size is a new Zinus softer memory foam mattress and is located in a private bedroom with a small TV. The queen is a new temperpedic mattress. It’s firm, but very comfortable. That room also has its own tv with a DVD player option. Note that the room with the queen bed is just off the main living are and is semi private. It has walls on every side of the room so it is enclosed and somewhat private but there are no doors in the door ways. We have a stash of kid toys and baby items in the laundry room (high chairs, toys, boppy, bumbo, and diaper genie to keep our smallest guests happy and comfy). The Kitchen is equipped with dishes and basic kitchen necessities if you'd like to eat in. There is a microwave, stove/oven, keurig coffee machine, toaster, blender and fridge. If there is anything that you are missing in the kitchen or if you have any special requests, we might have it upstairs or we could somehow get it for you, so please don't be afraid to ask! If you don't feel like meal prepping on vacation, we have collected a bunch of take out menus to nearby eating establishments that we will keep handy in a kitchen drawer for you. Feel free to add to that if you come across some good eats. We also have a lot of our favorite places listed in our guidebook. Check it out. Note that our dining table is small and only has 4 stools. If you would like or need more space to eat, please let us know in advance. The bathroom is basic and comes with everything you might need. We've stocked it with plenty of body towels, hand towels and washcloths as well as a basket of extra toiletries for you to help yourself to. I also have a blow dryer, flat iron and curling iron if the ladies want to leave their own home and pack light! As with anything else, if there is something you need, please just ask and I will do my best to find it for you! Parking space for up to 2 vehicles is available. We request that you use our circle driveway for parking. Guest access You will have access to the entire lower level of the home with a private keyed entrance. The apartment has a separate thermostat to control your heat. There is a wood burning fireplace in the pictures but it is not listed as an amenity and we won't be allowing our guests to use it for several reasons. Sorry for the inconvenience but we hope you'll understand! As typical in Utah homes, there is not an a/c unit in the basement. We do however have a fan available for each room for your use. The apartment temperature stays around 72 degrees during the warmer months. If you'd like more fridge space, there is a full size fridge available but not pictured. If their is snow on the ground you will want a 4WD vehicle to get up the hill. We keep the lane plowed well, but it can still get a little slick in the winter months. 55 in smart Samsung TV with Chromecast for your streaming needs. If you can't find something you need in the basement, please ask and we will do our best to meet your needs with what we have upstairs or we can run to the store. We tried to think of everything but if we missed anything let us know! We are excited to have you stay with us! Other things to note We do live on the main level of the home so expect to hear us a bit. We want your stay to be as comfortable and quiet as possible so we will be on our best behavior while you are in our home ;) We keep quiet hours between 10pm and 7am.
