Enjoy a walk along our back road and spy a turkey group or a covey of quail. Road Runners are everywhere, as are Kiskadees and Green Jays! .we even have a few deer who call our ranch their home! The space Designed as a studio style cottage, this space offers comfortable bedding with a queen bed, and a seating area with a full sized leather sofa, glider rocker and large screen TV that you can watch from your comfy spot on the bed. The kitchenette includes an apartment size fridge, dishes and flatware, Microwave, toaster, coffee maker. However, there is no stove or cooktop. Check out our other listings on Airbnb. Private cottage on alpaca farm and Cozy country cottage on alpaca farm. Guest access Your cabin is private so you won’t need to share any part of it during your stay. Take walks along the driveways and the road. Some of the farm animals may come up to the fences to greet you!. While this cabin does not have a full kitchen, it does have an apartment size fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee maker, you also have access to one of the Park Style Grills in front of the cabins. There are picnic tables for your use as well. The fire pit is available to our guests to use when conditions are good. We suggest you bring your own wood as it is difficult for us to keep up with the demand. You’re on a farm, with lots of different animals, including our Livestock Guardian Dogs, who have access to the entire property. While they are people tolerant, even friendly, we do not allow them inside the cabins. That goes for the cats as well! A word about stickers. Twice a year the stickers are a problem. Be sure to check your shoes upon entering the cottage for any that may have attached themselves to you. If you stay on the walkways and the drive you will avoid most of them. Please be aware that the farm is in a rural/country area and wild life is abundant! You may see rabbits, squirrels, foxes, field mice and moles, skunks, raccoons, deer. Occasionally wild pigs and javelina have wandered through the farm. Also be alert for coyotes and Bobcat. While rare, cougar are spotted occasionally. Also be very aware that fire ants, snakes, spiders and scorpions also live on the farm. Not all snakes are poisonous but you should treat them all as though they are! Tell the owner of any encounter you have with any wildlife on the property. Other things to note The State Park at Lake Corpus Christi offers a safe place boat and swim. It has 2 boat launches and 3 piers, one is new. Be sure to reserve some time during your stay to visit the park. The park fills up quickly on weekends and holidays so you should make reservations with the park prior to your trip. There are trails for hiking and bike riding, and lots of places to bird watch! Please note that our dogs work mostly at night. This means you may hear them barking in spurts. This is their way of letting predators (coyotes, bobcat, cougar) know they are there and not to cross over their boundaries. During certain times of the year you will see and hear tractors working in the jfields that border our property. This may include harvesting, spraying of herbicides, insecticides or fertilizers. If you have any questions or concerns about these times please check with us before booking. We don’t have any control over what is happening with other property but we have a good idea of when we can expect things to occur. Guests should be comfortable around large dogs. Our Livestock Guardian Dogs have access to the entire farm 24/7. Barking is a part of their job and this can be anytime day or night. If it becomes too much of a disturbance guests should let us know ASAP so that alternative arrangements can be implemented. While we understand many of our guests prefer to travel with their pets, this cabin is not pet-friendly. If you wish to bring your pet, please inquire about cabin #3. Please take time to read through the entire listing, including the Health & Safety Section, and House Rules before you book. If you have any questions or concerns click on Contact Owner link. When you book this listing you attest that you have read and agree with all the information listed.
