Our Blue Door Cottage is a perfect getaway out in the country. Only 65 miles from Dallas and set on 30 secluded acres, you can be out of the city and surrounded by nature in just over an hour. It's only 15 minutes from Canton Trade Days, and 45 minutes from Tyler. Relax on the covered front porch, fish in one of our two ponds, enjoy cocktails or dinner on the 450 square foot deck, grill out on the open firepit, or just stargaze around the fire. The whole property is yours to explore! The space The cottage is about 600 square feet, a studio set-up perfect for a couple or family with young kids. There's a comfortable queen size murphy bed, and a queen sized pull out sofa as well. There's a large desk area for working, a table and chairs for meals, puzzles, or games, and plenty of comfortable seating to watch the 48 inch TV (Note that the TV is not equipped with cable, but is a smart TV with integrated apps, and can accommodate your streaming devices as well). The updated bathroom has a spacious, glass-enclosed shower and fresh towels and linens are provided. The kitchenette has an under-counter fridge with (limited) freezer space, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker with pods and coffee supplies provided. Enjoy the rocking chairs and porch swing on the covered front porch, a meal out on the deck next to the pond, and evenings around the firepit. Kids will love fishing and exploring 30 acres of woods and pastures. Guest access The entire 30 acres are yours to explore - the cottage is the only lodging on the property so you'll have plenty of privacy, peace and quiet!
