Enjoy beautiful sunrises looking out at your private dock and lakefront on Chautauqua Lake! Our charming, traditional lakefront cottage features 3 bedrooms, one-and-a-half baths and a million dollar view from the dining room and patio facing the lake. Round off your full lake experience with an afternoon nap on the hammock, making BBQ on the grill, cooking s’mores on the provided fire ring, or dining al fresco at either the patio table or the picnic table on the breakwall. Two bedrooms with two twin beds each are up the stairs on the second floor with a half bath, the full bath and master bedroom are off the fully-equipped kitchen. Over-and-under washer and dryer under the stairs. Private driveway accommodates two vehicles easily. Board games are available, as are a selection of DVDs for rainy days. You may moor your boat on the pilings on the end of your private dock if you wish, or feel free to take a paddle in the 3-passenger canoe. New for 2024: based on guest feedback, the full bathroom has been fully renovated and updated to make for an even more comfortable and enjoyable stay. The knotty pine ceilings are 6' 8" high, making the space quick to heat or cool to taste, but a consideration for guests of exceptional height. The location is extremely accessible to nearby attractions - walk to Webb’s restaurant and shops and nearby Chautauqua Marina, which rents powerboats, pontoon boats and wave runners (plus water skiing and tubing equipment) by the hour or day. A half mile walk will take you to Lakeside Park with lighted tennis courts, a public boat ramp, the Chautauqua Belle launch and the Floating Stage, which offers live concerts many weekends in the summer. The NYS Route 17 bike route around Chautauqua Lake (and beyond) runs literally past your back door. Want to venture farther afield? The world-renowned Chautauqua Institution’s main gates are just 2.5 miles to the south. Turn to the north instead and catch the Lake Erie Wine Trail at Westfield, 8 miles from your door. Single-lane driveway parking accommodates 2 cars easily or 3 with care, or one tow vehicle with trailer. Note that the dock is guaranteed to be in place through October 23rd...after that time, dock crews may pull and stack the dock sections and lift on the property anytime before November 1 (unfortunately, they need a window to get them all out before the winter).
