Adobe Libélula (Dragonfly) Historic pueblo-style adobe home & property, complimented with front & rear patios, gazebo, gardens & off-street gated parking. Lovingly renovated 1930 Adobe. Live in the birthplace of Las Cruces. A ​5-minute casual stroll to explore and enjoy the origins of Las Cruces, neighborhood restaurants & coffee shops in the Mesquite Historic District, AND museums, shops, a street market off Main St. Las Cruces. The space The beautiful, historic, Adobe Libélula (“DragonFly”) Home (pronounced: lee-Beh-loo-lah) was built in 1930 by Mr. Valentin Diaz and has been honored with an Historic Property of Las Cruces designation. See Local Charity Donation, by owner, in “Other Things to Note” section, below. I named my quaint home “DragonFly” for my personal love of these beautiful creatures and have added touches of them in the décor. It is 1300 square feet, fully renovated, including hardwood floors, a beautiful ornate ground marble dust fireplace (non-usable for guests), stainless appliances, granite countertops in the kitchen, washer, dryer, and Mexican décor/appointments throughout. NOTE re amenities: All of the furnishings and kitchen elements are new and recently purchased, many of them from Mexico via a local store. Since there is a beautiful exterior area suitable for dining, or a nice cup of coffee in the morning, the kitchen is equipped with both indoor and outdoor usage dishes, bowls and drink ware, all of which are microwave safe. Baking pans and a blender are also included. Perishables, such as condiments or cooking oils, are not provided, since we do not feel comfortable leaving any perishables in the home for multiple guest usage. Regarding, herbs, we do provide salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and a supply of bottled water, which are all sealed in containers, for our guests' usage and safety. Guest access The entire property is for the exclusive use of our guests, the tranquil and secluded backyard with fruit trees, garden beds, native plants, an elegant flagstone patio, seating area,​ and pergola that is ideal for entertaining or relaxing. The front yard includes a patio and seating area at the main door. The property is fully fenced with a beautiful rock wall and latilla wood accent Other things to note Charity: 10% of the net monthly rental proceeds of Adobe Libelula are donated to Safe Haven, Weed & Seed, Mesquite Historic District, Las Cruces Chapter.
