Be Well Bunkhouse

The Be Well Bunkhouse offers tranquil beauty while allowing guests to enjoy the sights, sounds & splendors of the surrounding horse ranch. This cozy bunkhouse is newly renovated & welcomes guests with its sweet rustic charm & abundance of homey touches. The home can accommodate 8 guests with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. With ample light, a homelike living & dining area & a tranquil deck you and your guests are sure to find comfort & connection during your stay! The space Important Things to Know About Our Home: The bunkhouse allows guest to enjoy the unique benefits of peace and privacy of country life, while still being within 5 - 10 minutes of Kearney's restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, hospitals and medical centers, entertainment, fuel, etc. The ranch is easily accessible from town via paved roads, though note that the roads on the ranch leading to the bunkhouse as well as the bunkhouse parking lot are gravel. The bunkhouse and entire surrounding premises are non-smoking of any kind. As such, this home is not a good fit for people who smoke. The bunkhouse is pet friendly with some limitations in place to ensure that the home does not feel like a pet home to non-pet guests. Specifically, pets are not allowed in the carpeted parts of the home or on furniture. Various gates are provided to ensure that pets remain on the linoleum floored areas of the home only or outside in the large provided dog run. As well, all pets must be well behaved and not have an nuisance or otherwise destructive behaviors. Guests should indicate the plan to bring a pet in the booking reservation and an additional pet fee will apply. The location of the bunkhouse on the ranch offers privacy and a serene, secluded location, though guests should expect the occasional passing by of ranch vehicles/machinery, ranch personnel, and horses and/or goats as a part of the daily working ranch operations. The bunkhouse is located on an active working horse ranch allowing guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of a western style ranch amidst a lovely pastoral setting. Guests may observe the horses and goats, but feeding, petting or otherwise interacting with any of the animals in an unsupervised manner is prohibited. The bunkhouse shares the parking lot with a single RV site which may, at times, have an RV/camper in it during a guests stay. Although we welcome children and infants please note that the home has not been baby-proofed, though we do now provide some baby travel essentials for guests use. Also, it is very important to note with consideration of children's safety that there is a seasonal water canal that runs next to the bunkhouse as well as animals (horses, goats, cats and occasionally the ranch dogs) and ranch machinery that travel on the road in front of the bunkhouse. As such, children should never be left unattended outside. There are security cameras throughout the ranch, but please note there are no cameras at the bunkhouse to respect the privacy of our guests. The ranch is within an 1/8 of a mile to the entrance of Cottonmill Lake State Park allowing guests to enjoy park access within a short walk or very short drive. The park offers hiking, biking, fishing, boating, frisbee golf, playgrounds, BBQ pits, swimming (seasonal), a nature barn (seasonal), wildlife viewing and more! The ranch is within 5 minutes of the University of Nebraska Kearney. The ranch is within 5 - 15 minutes of all of Kearney's hospitals and major medical centers. The ranch also provides excellent access to Sandhill Crane viewing areas such as Fort Kearny (15 minutes) and Rowe Sanctuary (25 minutes). The codes for entrance will be sent prior to arrival. Other things to note We strive to provide a very comfortable home with lots of homey comforts and touches to benefit our guests stay. In return, we ask for guests fullest respect of our home and surrounding land during their stay, both in their behavior and that of any guests. There is to be no smoking of any kind in the home or on the surrounding premises, nor is second hand smoke from clothing welcome. Any and all pets must be well behaved and not cause nuisance or damage. Shoe need to be removed or shoe covers worn in this home. Moderate size and reasonable energy group gatherings are allowed, but no large sized or high energy parties are allowed.
