Campsite in Pristine Paradise Woodland Retreat

We invite you to bring your tent or canopy to rural Hanover County. This private site is on the end of a cul-de-sac on 10 acres. Enjoy: Get togethers with friends and family, overnight camping, hiking, art, making music, bird watching, observing the wildlife in pristine nature or stargazing in an open field. Explore historic churches, civil war battlefields, the New Kent Winery, Richmond, Jamestown, Yorktown and Colonial Williamsburg. Meet the on site owner, Carol, designer and steward. The space The landscaping makes it a perfect place for artists, musicians, naturalists, birdwatchers or yoga enthusiasts to retreat and relax. Enjoy summer vegetable gardens, lovely flower beds, a “canoe” frog pond, arbor swing, deck, hiking trails. Historic parks, homes, and churches, and the New Kent vineyards and winery are nearby. Several college campuses in the RIchmond/Williamsburg area. At night, the sky is filled with stars. Take a back seat to nature and watch the show. Firewood is available for sale on site at $12.00 a bundle or it can be purchased locally at the Kroger gas station. A fire pit or burn barrel are available. Foraging for wood is NOT ALLOWED. Guests are reminded to stay on trails so as not to disturb flora, fauna and fungi. A porta potty is available or since the sites are primitive, you may pack it out. Rooms in the house are NOT included in the campsite cost.
