Welcome to the Zigzag Cabin Oasis! Located in a quiet, stunning neighborhood with picturesque walking trail and old growth trees. We are nestled along the Wild and Scenic Zigzag River in lush Mt. Hood National Forest! Brand-new remodel, this wood cabin has all original bones with modern updates. Perfectly located, we're 15 minutes from Mt. Hood, 45 minutes from PDX Airport, with many high-quality restaurants nearby. The space This is a brand-new, remodeled, quaint, modern cabin in the heart of Mt. Hood National Forest in Rhododendron, Oregon. Just ten minutes from Government Camp and several Mt. Hood Ski Resorts. We furnished this space with luxury and comfort in mind and it is truly one of a kind in this area. The Zigzag Cabin is built ranch-style and can sleep up to 12 guests, including 6 queen beds: 1 "master" bedroom with a log cabin queen bed, 2 in the upstairs loft, 2 on a bunk-bed, and 1 "bachelor suite" just off the wrap around deck. This cabin boasts original cedar flooring and countertops from 1963, with fresh sanding and staining completed just a few months ago. Incredibly, the wood was harvested on property. We have a wood stove pizza oven, gas stove tops, and several large gathering areas for families, friends, and ski-bums alike. Zigzag Cabin Oasis has two separate living rooms with 55 inch televisions and sectional sofas. We also have a large kitchen table that seats 8-10. The entire purpose of this Oasis is to give visitors to the Pacific Northwest easy access to Portland and Mt. Hood, while simultaneously feeling the escape of Oregon’s forests and fresh air. This location is perfect for trail runners, or those that like to mountain bike for recreation or sport. The home sits on just under an acre, including two hundred yards from the Zigzag River (hence the cabin name). The cabin has brand new, comfortable queen beds with down comforter, duvets and large pillows. The unit has several brand new appliances, and a large in-unit washer and dryer for your laundry convenience. We have plenty of dishware and cooking utensils for our guests, and a single serve coffee machine with coffee pods provided. The living room has an AppleTV with Netflix, HBO, ESPN, Hulu, and other channels for your viewing pleasure. We're equipped with high-speed Wifi throughout the house. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, and extra towels are all provided for our guests' comfort. This is a perfect space for business travelers, families, or a quick weekend getaway. Take time just outside of Portland to relax at Government Camp, Timberline Lodge, or the other local ski resorts, or enjoy nature in the Columbia River Gorge or Mt. Hood National Park. Eat at one of our many local famous restaurants, or go grocery shopping nearby and cook at the cabin. There's tons of free parking on the property, including an Electric Vehicle charger! We have done our best to make this place feel like home by including local books and board games. It is our way of sharing what our wonderful state of Oregon has to offer. We love our neighborhood, and our neighbors, and kindly request that there is no hot tub use after 10pm. We also have a four vehicle limit due to fire lane safety concerns. The ZigZag Cabin Oasis is our home and very special to our family, so guests must treat it as their own :) Guest access To access the home, we will provide you with a code to the lockbox upon booking.
