We are an 8-minute walk to the shops and dining of the historic Stockade District and 2 miles from the NYS Thruway exit, making our place the perfect starting point for your adventures in the Hudson Valley. Woodstock, New Paltz, Rhinebeck, Red Hook, Saugerties are all accessible in 20 minutes or less! Oh, and about the house... Welcome to our quaint ground floor apartment in a turn of the 20th century uptown Kingston home! Free parking for one car is available in the driveway. There is also plenty of on-street parking. Our retro-styled apartment is located in the rear of the house where you have full views of the spacious back yard. There are two large rooms -- one includes a full kitchen & dining area, the other is the combined bedroom & living space with high ceiling and exposed beams. The bathroom includes a standing shower, fully equipped with toiletries and an extra toothbrush in case you forgot! Recent additions include a comfy loveseat, area rugs, Bluetooth enabled sound bar to enjoy your own music, an industrial style desk on wheels so you can work anywhere you want. Enjoy complimentary Netflix or log in to your favorite streaming service on the smartTV. The shady backyard is the best part and will be exclusively yours during your stay! Play unlimited fetch with your pup or just enjoy the active community of birds that greet us daily! We can accommodate additional pets if you let us know when you book. Additional fee applies. Choose the hammock or Adirondack chairs for a great place to chill outside. The high-speed wifi reaches most of the backyard so you can work just about anywhere! Many original details were kept intact on this mid-century addition to the house including the custom “shiplap” design in the bedroom. The apartment door and “barn” door in the bedroom were up-cycled from existing materials. Our space sleeps 2 comfortably in the queen bed but we can accommodate up to 3 guests with the addition of a twin air mattress. If you have a child or another guest, please let us know when you book. An additional guest fee of $24 per day applies. Our green mission: we strive eliminate the use of single-use plastics in our space. We use biodegradable trash bags, plastic-free laundry detergent and refillable bathroom amenities to reduce our impact on the environment. We ask that you review the Kingston recycling policies posted and adhere to them accordingly. There are 3 stairs to enter the property. The stone pathway and stone patio is un-even and may not be appropriate for all guests. Please be careful. You will have shared access to the "mud room" / storage area which is just inside the entrance. You may occasionally see me in the back yard only in the event that work needs to be done (snow removal or lawn care). The stone walkway & patio are uneven and can be slippery so please use caution when walking especially during snow or rain. Other things to note PET INFO Please observe the following pet rules so we can continue to have a pet-friendly space. One well-behaved, friendly, quiet, house-trained dog is permitted per rental. If you would like to bring an additional dog, a $50 fee applies. There is another friendly dog that lives on the property but you will have the back yard to yourself. The back yard is fully fenced. If your dog likes to sleep on the bed or other furniture, please bring a doggy blanket. Unless your dog is well-trained, keep your dog on a leash at all times in the yard. Never leave your dog unattended in the yard. Clean up after your pet by immediately picking up poop. If your dog has an accident in the apartment please clean it up and notify us. There are cleaning products under the sink. No digging. Place your doggy bags of waste outside in the can provided. If your dog has muddy paws, please wipe them once you come inside. Please bring your own doggy bed/crate. By booking our place you agree that you are fully responsible for your dog’s behavior while you are home & while you are not home.
