We have 63 acres of land and a stretch of the Little River you can explore with our trail. You will find our space warm, cozy, charming, and full of natural light. We have a nice size kitchen well-equipped for cooking. On the main floor you will find a bedroom with a twin bed. The main floor bedroom is right next to the front door and has a connected, private, full bathroom. Upstairs, you will have access to one bedroom: turning right on top of stairs will take you into the master bedroom with a King size bed. You’ll find a full bathroom on the second floor and a craft room. My daughter's room and my closet are not available and thus are locked. If you need extra sleeping spaces, the couch on the main floor also converts into a queen size bed (let us know in advance if you will want this so we can provide linens). In the basement, you'll find a kitchenette, an exercise space (Peloton Tread and Bike), a couch with a fold-out bed, and two twin beds. The basement also has a full bathroom. Our house is set back from the road and gives you lots of privacy. We are 4.5 miles from downtown Canton and St. Lawrence University. We have a lovely farmer's market in downtown Canton on Tuesdays and Fridays through the late Fall. In the winter, we are about a 55-minute drive from Titus mountain and about 1.5 hours from Lake Placid. You can snowshoe and cross-country ski on our property or nearby on St. Lawrence University's trails. Guests will have access to our Wi-Fi, trails on our land, all outdoor decks, full use of kitchen and appliances. You can also use our washer and dryer, which are located in the kitchen. We provide you with a Keurig machine. We have multiple smart TVs that stream Hulu, Prime, and Netflix, Apple+, HBOMax, Paramount, and Peacock. Marcus, my co-host, is a phone call away and can arrange to meet you to show you the home or communicate via email or text should you have questions. We live in a rural part of Canton. Many of our neighbors are homesteaders. Birdsfoot's farm is less than a mile down the road. We are close to some lovely hiking (e.g., Harper's Falls and Lampson Falls). We also live just a few houses down from a U-Pick apple orchard. In the warmer months, you will see many of our neighbors cycling into town. You may also see a few Amish families traveling down our road. In the winter, many of our neighbors snowshoe and cross-country ski on trails. You will need a car to get to stores. However, many of our neighbors cycle into the village until the weather gets too punishing. We do not yet have reliable Uber in our area, but there is TaxiZero: https://www.txizero.com/. When it snows in the North Country, do not fear! We have excellent road maintenance! You will hear the plows going the minute the snow begins to fall heavily. We also will make sure the driveway is plowed so that you can come and go as you require.
