This 1942 Chalet is straight from a story book. With many original features, the house is charming inside and out. Enjoy a small lake view while sitting near the fire pit on the adirondack chairs. Situated in a very quiet neighborhood known as The Palisades you’ll appreciate the peace & quiet. The house has everything you need including fully stocked kitchen, desk for remote work and high speed internet. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, trails & a short drive to many local attractions. The space Thoroughly SANITIZED after every guest. All precautions are taken to insure everyone's safety (including our own). Fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, slow cooker, blender, oil, salt, pepper and some spices. If you'd rather get take-out, there are many options within a short drive. Cedar Glen is a 2 minute drive where you will find restaurants and shopping including a mini mart. There’s also a barbecue available for grilling. The propane in the tank is not guaranteed, so if you run out, please replace at the local market. Santa’s Village is a short 10-15 min drive. There are also many hiking trails, Lake Arrowhead Village, Lake Arrowhead brewery, antique shopping and thrift stores very close by. The outside space is very peaceful with views of the lake and a gas fire pit to enjoy while making s’mores. Inside you can play board games or cozy up and watch a movie on one of the multiple smart tvs. Wood burning fireplace keeps you warm and cozy inside. If you are looking to do remote work, our wifi has been great for our guests who are zooming and video conferencing. Please note that during the winter months there are often power outages that SCE initiates when there are high winds. The power usually comes back in a few hours but you want to be prepared in the event it takes longer. Flashlights are provided for your safety. Snow season can be a fun adventure. The streets are swept by the city and the driveway is cleared for your entry. No one under 25 may book. An ID will be required. No third party bookings (that is, if you’re booking the house you’re the one that will be checking in and staying there). All guests must be on the reservation- no visitors. Other things to note: Dogs welcome with approval from management. There is a $150 pet fee per pet. No cats or aggressive dogs please. The driveway accommodates 4 vehicles only. No street parking is allowed per county rules. Do not block neighbors' driveway or park in neighbors' driveway. We highly recommend carrying chains/cables during the snow season. **This is NOT a party home! No smoking inside or outside the property, (including Cigarettes, Marijuana, and Cigars). If we smell smoke in the home there will be an additional $250 cleaning fee. If we find burn marks on any furniture, the guest is responsible for replacement costs. No drugs (legal or not), underage drinking, violation of quiet hours, exceeding occupancy limits or vehicle limits. These are all violations of our rules. We do not enjoy removing people from our home, but if the rules are broken we will do so. The safety of our guests, home, and neighbors come first.
