The perfect "getaway" that's still "near" it all! Our stand alone southwestern bunkhouse offers comfortable accommodations in a very unique setting, surrounded by thousands of acres of the Coronado National forest. Located in the desirable Sonoita/Elgin area of Southern Arizona. Near Parker Canyon Lake! From just soaking up the quiet serenity for a day or two, to an adventure filled longer stay, we can help tailor your experience to enjoy the many different things to see and do in the area. You can expect an abundance of great weather, as our 5000 foot elevation keeps you 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the Tucson/Phoenix area in the Summer, while still providing mild temps throughout the Winter...… Sunny and dry is the norm with inspiring sunrises, breathtaking sunsets, and night skies that leave you in awe. And, Birds! Birds! Birds! We are in a highly sought after birding area with many different species and hummingbirds by the dozen. Great hiking, mountain biking, and exploring right from the property. We are on the “quiet side” of the many wineries in the area. 10 miles from Parker Canyon Lake where you can fish, boat, and hike. If you are looking for larger accomodations, be sure to check out our Cowboy Casita located and available on the same property!! Entire private casita is yours to enjoy! The diversity of "things to do" run the gamut from hundreds of hiking trails, world famous birding both migratory and residents, fishing/kayaking/boating at Parker Canyon Lake, lots of wildlife, very popular bicycling routes, many wineries being in the heart of Arizona's famous wine country, great restaurants/brew pub in Sonoita, the quirky town of Patagonia and Patagonia State Park, Montezuma Pass/Coronado National Memorial, shopping in Sierra Vista, day trips to the cowboy town of Tombstone and the mining town of Bisbee, hunting, ATV/ 4 wheeling, great motorcycling roads, close to Mexico and it's shopping/dining opportunities, and much, much more. Located just two miles off of scenic route 83 on a rustic gravel road, our quiet, peaceful valley is still less that an 1 1/2 hours from the Tucson airport. Our friendly ranch dog, Cisco, is the number one "meet and greeter" :-)
