Location and Neighborhood: Big Blue is located in Vine City which, as of now, is the largest private home for rent with the most convenient and closest access to Mercedes Benz Stadium and the Georgia World Congress Center (8-10 minute walk or 2 minute Uber/Lyft). You can also walk to Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, and Morehouse. You also have access to MARTA, the train station, in two directions, the Vine City Station or the Ashby Station about a 8-10 minute walk as well. MARTA gives you very easy access to all the amenities of downtown Atlanta, such as the Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, The CNN Center, the new state of the art State Farm Arena, The Apparel Mart aka America's Mart, The World of Coke, and the Center of Civil Human Rights to name a few. In fact, part of the city funds went towards providing housing for police officers which actually reside on our city block in 5 new homes. If you choose to stay here we ask that you don't judge the neighborhood by it's cover. The charm of the people in the neighborhood is multifaceted. There are some that have lived here for generations and can share historical stories with you and others that are just moving in to remodel and renovate some of the run down homes. Walking down the street you will see neighbors having a good time on their porches and children playing in the brand new playground a few blocks away. With that being said this an urban setting which affords you the proximity to the city. I would recommend taking Uber or Lyft to your destinations if urban settings aren't your vibe at night. Getting Around: Being so close to all Atlanta amenities and destinations, you do not need a car. However, rest assured, you will have access to a double garage should you choose to drive, as well as the ability to park on the street. There are very few homes in this area with garages so this is a bonus we are happy we can offer to our guests.
