The Funk House-The Bohemians Room

This is a private room with a shared bathroom…Including access to shared area in other parts of the house. The Funk house promotes a laid back, chill vibe and will make you feel right at home on your first day. The community areas are full of things to do, cooking, baking, puzzles, games, crafts or lounging with a book. so many spaces to explore, cool off in the waterfall or watch a thunderstorm roll in from the front screened in porch. my neighbor hood is perfect for walking and biking. The space If you are requesting to book, make sure that you have a complete AIRBNB profile, a current profile pic and phone number. Your request should include, what brings you to the Jacksonville area, along with an approximate time of arrival. this was my room for several years, although I love all the rooms this has been a favorite! It includes your own little sitting area, a nice big table for a work space and a bed tucked away in the little sunroom. there is a big closet and a dresser ready for your belongings. The shared bath is across the hall, a beautifully furnished and unique bathroom with the original clawfoot tub. Get ready to slow down this is a "bath" only tub, no showers but with a hand held shower. Guest access You will have access to other parts of the house, including the kitchen, dinning and living room, and the back yard where there is a hammock and waterfall. You would be sharing the hall bathroom with possibly two other guests. The bathroom has a claw foot tub with a hand held shower for a nice bath but no stand up showers.). The downstairs does not have central heat and can be chilly on cold Florida days, but there is a window unit that seems to take the heat away on hot summer days. During your stay I am happy to be available during your stay, suggesting things that you are interested in, chatting about life, showing you around the neighborhood, I love meeting new people wherever I go. I also have a great respect for your personal and private space and would never interrupt your busy lifestyle. Other things to note if you are into fitness and eating healthy, this is the perfect space...set up with a top of the line juicer for making fresh juice, a vita mix heavy duty blender for smoothies, the perfect neighborhood for running, walking and biking and don't forget the free gym membership with a host that is an advocate for a healthy lifestyle.
