Guesthouse in Highlands

This charming guesthouse is nestled in a wooded setting with mountain views. Relax on the wraparound porch taking in the fresh air and scenery as you warm up by the outdoor stone fireplace. The vaulted ceilings in the main house with a stone fireplace provide the perfect mountain ambiance. Please note: Kitchenette only - No stovetop. The guesthouse shares the property with the main house which was built in 1930. Just minutes to the shopping and dining of both Highlands and Cashiers. The space The great room has vaulted ceilings with a large seating area in front of the stone fireplace. Both the indoor and outdoor fireplace are gas assisted. The open half kitchen has a mini-refrigerator, freezer drawers with ice maker, a microwave oven, a small toaster/convection oven and an outdoor grill. There is a dining nook with a foldout leaf to the table. There are two bedrooms. One has a king size bed and opens to the wraparound porch. It has an ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower. The other bedroom also has a king-size bed and an ensuite bath with a tub/shower which also serves as a powder room. The cabin is air-conditioned and heated. It has excellent high speed wireless internet and cable. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom, the living room and on the porch. The wraparound porch has a stone fireplace with plenty of seating. It is fully screened and has acrylic panels for warmth in the winter. There is a gazebo on the property with a fire pit. Also lots of areas to walk and explore....gardens and a hidden spring with a stream. The outdoor areas (other than the wraparound porch) are shared with the owner. There is parking near the guesthouse and also a washer/dryer in the garage. We have almost everything you could think of, so just bring yourself. You will be 3 minutes to downtown Highlands, and 15 minutes to downtown Cashiers. The area has so much to offer -hiking , fishing, whitewater rafting, ziplining in the summer and skiing and snow tubing in the winter. Plus plenty of good restaurants and lots of shopping. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. There are gardens, a short walking trail and a gazebo with a fire pit. Also a spring with a small rustic stream. These areas are shared with the owners.
