Suite features queen bed, linens, blackout curtains, loveseat & bar table. Your bathroom & shower are small, but completely renovated. Hallway includes storage cabinets. Laundry room & kitchen are shared with our family but are located next to your suite. Off-street parking, WiFi & utilities included. This beautiful 1923 house is packed with history and charm. It is one of the few authentic Sears & Roebuck mail order houses in New Mexico – all its construction materials were shipped to Gallup on the Santa Fe Railway and then built on-site by the Rehoboth Mission community to house nurses for the old Rehoboth Hospital. The house has hardwood floors and other original features such as solid wood doors that provide quiet and privacy. The front deck is a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views to the south and west. Your newly renovated suite has all new sheets, comforter, towels, rugs, furniture, and blankets. Both rooms have a ceiling fan and an AC unit in the room of your choosing. Six stairs lead into the house to your private suite. We welcome longer term renters for a month or more as Gallup attracts traveling and contract professionals. The space is perfect for a solo visitor or possibly a couple. Sorry to say, we cannot accommodate your pets. We are open to early check-ins and late check-outs on a case-by-case basis. A community post office, athletic track & church are located within walking distance from our home. We do have a family dog, Buddy, who prefers to spend most of his time outside in his dog-run. He is quiet and just happy to sun bathe and take walks. He loves people, but please don't open his kennel gate or he will escape! Your suite is located in the back of our family home; therefore, we will be on-site and available if any needs or concerns arise. Our home is in the safe Rehoboth community, which was founded in the early 1900s as a mission school and hospital. The historic neighborhood is filled with shady trees, walking paths, & scenic views. Rehoboth is just a short distance from the scenic Red Rock Park and its Pyramid Rock and Church Rock hiking trails. Gallup is a small community, and you can easily drive to all parts of town within 20 minutes. Rehoboth is on the east side of Gallup, off Historic Route 66 and minutes away from the I-40 on-ramps. From our home it is less than a 15 minute drive to Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital, Gallup Indian Medical Center, and UNM-Gallup. Mountain and road biking are popular local activities, and there are safe trails in the Rehoboth community. There are limited Lyft and Uber services in Gallup.
