Pearched on a mountain ledge in the Pennsylvania Poconos, A Loft House on The Delaware, overlooks the Delaware River and is only a 90 mile drive from NYC. A Manhattan artist designed this one of a kind, luxurious home to resemble a Soho loft. Floor to ceiling windows of varying shapes provide breathtaking views on the first floor. The entire upstairs is the master suite. The first floor is modern kitchen, living room, great room and one bedroom with en-suite bath and a powder room. The space A Loft on Delaware is secluded, peaceful and the perfect getaway for family and friends. Guest access The property is 4.8 acres and a circular drive and long driveway leading to the house provides plenty of parking space. Other things to note Although the house is on a ledge which backs up to the Delaware River, past years’ nor’easters have damaged trees on the trail to the River. I’ve tried getting down the trail to the River and could only make it a fraction of the way. Thus, it is not accessible (unless you are a very intrepid hiker)(And yet several guests have told me they have made it down without problem- but the river is swift in that area and not for swimming. we supply bed linens, towels, paper towels, toilet paper and the kitchen is equipped with pans, pots, utensils. We have a keurig and there are coffee pods there. I always suggest arriving during daylight hours since it gets VERY dark at night and our house is on a winding dirt road. We will have the key in a lock box, with some general instructions on how to open the door (it is tricky) but once you do it, no problem. The password for the WiFi is on the bottom of the router in the first floor bedroom. Because we recently upgraded the Internet service you may need to unplug the router and then plug it back in to get the 150 MPS. Because of Covid my long time cleaning lady needs days between guests and she is very thorough and we have hand sanitizers available.
